However I found that they are deceptively effective for eliminating odor. I initially put two in my car that I use for recreational activities so it smells like outdoor but not the good kind and there was no noticeable change in smell. However I placed these in my stinky sweaty sneakers one night and the next day my sneakers were funk free. These things are a winner in my book even if they don’t have a the strong cedar scent I was hoping for or expecting. So if you are looking for a product that will leave a strong cedar scent you will be disappointed by this product. It does the job properly without being too smelly or sticky.
