Perfect replacement for the watt gobbling 50w halogens, can't tell the difference. Replaced a hot halogen at the base of a Christmas tree. Feel much more comfortable with this, as it's MUCH cooler. Had plenty of brightness, easily comparable to the 50W halogen it replaced.

I replaced my Halogen bulbs with these. They seem to run cooler and last longer.

why are the light flickering? There is no dimmer switch installed.

These lights should not flicker regardless of your dimmer settings. If all the bulbs are flickering together, it could mean your fixture's transformer or your dimmer is not compatible with LED type bulbs.
