NCM Paris (+) Folding E-Bike, electric bike, 250W, 36V 15Ah / 19Ah 540Wh / 684Wh Battery, 20”

I bought this bike as a gift for my father. I was originally looking for just a folding pedal bike. But when I saw the price of this one, the components, the folding mechanism and an electric bike; I decided to give it a try and I'm delighted I did. First of all as a folding bike the mechanism is straightforward and folds down to a compact size. I've owned other folding bikes and this element can't be taken for granted. Then the components, gears and brakes which are great quality and function just as smoothly as you'd expect from these brands. Then the power element, it engages just as you begin to pedal and really gives you a push forward making speed and hills no problem at all. If anything it takes a little while to get accustomed to the extra speed, you can fly along and put any ride or commute under the wheels in no time. The battery charges quickly and lasts well before needing a recharge. The bike looks great and feels a lot more quality than the price would suggest. As I say in the title this is an excellent all-round bike that delivers on all of its promises and at a great price compared to the competition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bike!

We bought 2 of these bikes from Leon Cycle (excellent communication and service from them). They arrived, assembled with just the seat post needing to be connected and some extra air pumped into the tyres. Chain and gears lubricated and although I did charge the batteries for an hour, they were fully charged on arrival. The bikes were very carefully wrapped in foam and bubble wrap.Instructions as simple and in English so in next to no time they were on the road for a test ride. The walking mode could be useful and is easy to select and use. The bike gears were already perfectly adjusted and very simple and positive to use with no missed gears even on cycle mode up a hill.The bikes are just under 25 KG with battery fitted so although easy enough to ride with no electric assist you would certainly need to use the gears up the hills.The electric power assist control box is extremely simple to use and configure (we changed ours to MPH rather than the default KPH)and there is lots of helpful information easily accessed (Max Speed, Distance travelled, Time on trip etc).Changing power level up or down is very easy and you can see at a glance both how much power you are using and the battery level.The bike really comes into its own when using the power assist which is smoothly progressive and almost unnoticed until you hit the hill - then the hill becomes almost unnoticed. This is just how it should be. Riding the bike feels safer than an ordinary bike because the effort normally needed particularly on hills which can cause the bike to wobble a bit just is not needed so the bike is extremely stable and easy to ride. The disk brakes and suspension add to the comfort and safety and are very effective.Finally, the bike folds quickly and positively and is great for putting in the back of a car, caravan or motorhome.All in all, a quality bike with good componants at a very good price. Now for another trip !

I've always wanted an electric bike and I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. I bought this bike so I didn't have to take the train to work anymore. It folds up easily and once you get the hang of it, takes very little time too. The speed is very exciting and really propels you forward with very little effort, and has quite a few different speeds too. It's good for going between open roads and busy traffic. I thought the design might be a little clunky, but it isn't at all, it's very well made, beautiful and sleek. I was worried the lights attached wouldn't be very powerful and I'd have to buy additional ones, but they are very strong and good quality. So that's an added bonus.I can't wait for my next bike ride! Highly recommend!

Purchased for my wife 5’4, but happy to ride myself 6’1When the bike arrived (ahead of schedule around 7 days after ordering) It was well prepared and set-up ready to ride.The bike arrived in great condition as described.I was very impressed with the specification relative to the market and costs (front shocks, discs, range on charge - though not tested range yet).Criticisms, I don’t think suspended seat posts (or at least this ‘spring type’ ones) really deliver what the user hopes they will but that’s not a problem with this bike in particular, just the basic technology in then.Tip:Do pump the tyres up to avoid a pinch puncture when mounting curbs, found this had to be fairly hard (30psi for me I recall) again not bike specific, but the ‘big Apple’ Tires say you can go lower than you usually would and let it add comfort.If you’re a commuter make sure you can lift 25kg comfortably, I see it more as a fold into a car bike than a take on the train cycle.It cruises quite happily at 16mph up moderate hills,You’ll not be getting more than 20mph with the gearing and some noteable effort... but it is a folding 25kg bike with 7 gears.We’re happy with it.

I’ve used it everyday since it arrived for my commutes across London, and I couldn’t be happier. It looks very smart and the brown leather sewed handles and seat are a very nice touch.The electric element is extremely simple and effective. It has a decent pick up and I was actually surprised at the overall speed, so be careful in traffic and around corners if you’re in a busy town! But it also gives you 6 levels of power to choose from so you can operate it as safely as you like. It’s becomes a real treat when you’re getting tired and have a hill to climb.The lights are a good addition, and the fold up mechanism is smooth and simple. I was worried that the battery might weigh a ton but it’s actually very light and easy to remove, so storing the bike and charging the battery indoors is a seamless routine.Outstanding product!
