Decent slats, but a bit too flimsy
These slats aren't bad for the price paid ($30 for twin heavy duty). I saw plenty of other reviewers state that the slats were too long for the application, which was also true for me. Before opening the packaging and separating the slats, I measured and cut them to the right size. The boards themselves are full of knots and not the prettiest to look at. There's one board where the knot pulled out and left a 1" hole in the board. The boards by themselves are somewhat flimsy and don't inspire the expected heavy duty confidence. After fitting them on the bed and screwing a few to the frame so they don't move about, I still felt that the boards were too flimsy to put the mattress directly on. Instead, I placed the box spring on it, with the mattress on top of that. This provided a solid foundation, though I'm not sure how much work the slats really did at that point. Still... it lasted like that for a solid year.Needs changed and I needed to remove the box spring to lower the bed height. Still uncomfortable with the slat strength, I decided to add some more support. I considered adding plywood on top of the slats, but I feared it could encourage mold growth under the mattress. I attached a 2x4 down the center of the slats underneath the bed with two screws in each slat. This way, strain on one board would be spread to the others. It's not supported by anything other than the slats, but substantially improved the strength to the point where I (225 lbs) felt comfortable standing on individual pieces.I took stars off my rating because the description is far from accurate. These are not heavy duty, and require some modification requiring a power saw and power drill. In the end, I have some slats on a bed which works, but I probably wouldn't get them again. It's cheaper to build with some premium 2x4, which would provide a much more solid base, especially for a wider bed.

Well-made, solid. Minor issues with slat length
I was nervous about these because of all the negative reviews. After all is said & done, I have to say I'm reasonably satisfied. Let's get slat size out of the way first of all, because one of the reviews I read said they were very small (1/2"x1/2") but that wasn't the case with mine. I got the "Heavy Duty" one, and the slats were 3-1/4"x1/2", as shown in the product page. They were all pretty straight with very little bowing or warping. The webbing connecting them all is nice & heavy and the slats are evenly spaced through the length. Then why am I only "reasonably satisfied"? It partly to do with the design of my bed frame & partly to do with the bunkie board. My frame is wooden, with wooden rails scarcely 1" wide. That doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for off-sized slats. These slats (queen size) were around 59-3/4", give or take maybe a quarter. That quarter meant that on some of the slats, positioning on the rails was critical. If I allowed them to rest against one edge, they could fall off the rail on the opposite side. I was forced to shim the spaces between the slats and the frame in order to make sure that didn't happen. But if you have nice wide rails, that wouldn't be a problem for you. If the slats had been a smidge longer, I might have ended up cutting some, which would have been even more of a hassle. So the bottom line is: seem well constructed, the wood seems strong, the slats are pretty true. Just make sure your frame can deal with the minor variations in length. If you have nice, wide metal rails on your frame, you'll probably have no problem at all. Skinny little wooden rails like mine (what were they thinking? maybe i should be giving the bed frame 3 stars instead of the bunkie board!) then measure carefully before ordering.

Its an okay purchase, long as you know what to expect.
This review is for the Twin size, heavy duty slats. So despite the terrible reviews I purchased this anyways because I could not find it anywhere else on Amazon or in local stores, at least at a 'friendly price'. The slats themselves were solid and thick (I suppose many of the complaints of cheap wood were for the Standard slats? I got the heavy duty ones). As shown in the pictures they definitely did not fit the bed (as many others have noted). The actual bed frame was a shade under 38 inches and the slats were an exact 39 inches. My guess is they give you 'more' slat because certain bed frames can be bigger? I don't know. But this is an extra hassle I had to deal with. Anyways, I was able to have it cut to size at home depot (they do this for free if I might add). I suppose you could've simply skipped all this and headed to your home improvement store, bought some all purpose wood and had them cut down to size, stapled together and you'd have the same product - though I'm not sure how much that would cost. Overall it seems like a very solid product and will hold up to my 3yr olds jumping and dancing. It arrived 3 days early so that was a nice surprise. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase (especially since I already expected to do some extra cutting to make it fit).

This is not the full bed just the wood slats!!!!
The way this add came across it looked like the full frame and headboard not just the wood slats. I was looking at other bed and this came up as a similar item for similar price. My fault for not reading the whole thing. Wood slats are not straight and a few of the pieces were splintered and cracked.

Great Slats but.....
These are no big box store slats, these are sturdy and will take a beating. These are as described; pine and handcrafted. I only have one complaint, I ordered the full size and had to cut three-quarters of an inch off of the slats. This wasn't a problem for me but, what if someone didn't have the proper space or tools to do so.

Great value
My son needed slats to replace a terrible piece of wood that wasn’t cutting it on his bed. These were relatively easy to install (husband had to cut the down slightly as they were too long for this specific bed) but they are standing up to preteen shenanigans. Price was lowest we could find and do the trick!

Comfortable, sturdy, and exactly the size that they say they are.
These slats are perfect. I'm a very heavy person, and I've been sleeping on them for 4 months now. They are sturdy, they don't creak, and they fit my queen size bed frame perfectly.

Brands are long
PROS: It is very sturdy and easy to install.CONS: The brands are longer by 1cm rounded, so you have to cut it once you receive thw product. I personally find the price a little higher than it should be.Overall, okay product.
