Spectrum Essentials Chia & Flax Seed, Decadent Blend with Coconut & Cocoa, 12 oz

I sprinkle this delicious blend on my yogurt every morning. It makes my breakfast more fun to eat!

I put a scoop of this in my smoothies and it adds texture, flavor, and protein. Oh, so good!

I have been adding this to oatmeal for years!!!! Great source of fiber--think heart health. In recent years, I began adding it to yogurt and protein smoothies/shakes. Flax Seed absorbs well when added with a quality protein. Too bad I hate cottage cheese because that is one Flax Seed with which matches really well. NOTE: Chia expands the longer it sits in liquid, so you want to begin eating/drinking fairly soon. That said, the taste is great, especially if you love coconut and chocolate.

Very good cocoa flavor with a perfect mixture of ground flax and chia seeds for those healthy essential fatty acids, trace minerals, and antioxidants! Use with plain unflavored Greek yogurt as a flavor topping.

Trying to eat more fiber I decided to try more chia seeds, so I make up a mixture of: 2 T of this decadent blend 3 scant T of chia seeds 1 1/2 T sugar or artificial sugar Milk, oat milk, almond milk or combination Mix in a 2-cup mason jar. Shake it up, and continue shaking it every 30 seconds or so for about 3 minutes so the seeds don't settle into a big clump at the bottom; refrigerate. It's best after about 4 hours. After every meal I have 4-5 spoons of it. Gives me the illusion of having dessert and I LIKE the flavor - which comes from this chocolate, cocoa, flax and chia seed blend. It's been about 9 months I've been making this mixture and I haven't gotten tired of it yet.

Love it—a game-changer for smoothies. I bought 2-12 oz bags in Jan 2024 for $10.99 each here. I can find it at my local grocer for $9.85 if I'm lucky. I thought it was a lot, but worth it. I'm running low and my local grocer is out of stock, so I came here to reorder and the price has doubled! Not worth it. I can't believe the price has doubled since I last purchased it. This is ridiculous and frankly quite frustrating. I was willing to pay a little extra for the convenience, but this price hike is too much. Looks like I'll have to find an alternative unless the price comes back down to earth.
