Change the pad, not the paper!
I’ve found that it’s much easier to change pads than paper, and that the paper and the pads last longer, if not bing continually changed. So I bought four of the pads, and each is dedicated to a single grit, and I just change the pads as I work from coarse to fine.

RO 90 Hard Sanding Pad
This well built pad for the Festool RO 90 is an essential accessory when sanding cabinet face frames. It does a great job of keeping the stock square and keeping the surface area smooth. This is the sanding pad that should be in every RO 90 owner's systainer.

Great Add on
I have used this product for a couple of months now, and have had no wear signs. Usually when used in tight corners the edges of attachment either wear down or start to chip. This still holds a tight corner and still holds the sandpaper great.

No more scraping corners
Scraping wood floors is a time kill and plain old sucks. With the ro90 there is zero scraping in corners and the only tool for stair risers. The hard pad is very durable. Last a while for sure. Festools are over priced but if you make a living with your tools then the purchase is justified. I just have to fight the urge to buy tools that I want. Not need. There sanders are great and save time with w.floor refinishing.

I'm very happy with the Festool product line in general. However, I had some problems sanding the edges of a bench. I was rounding the edges. I bought the "hard" pad through Amazon (intended to do so long ago, wish I had) and the rounding is significantly reduced. Attaching it was pretty simple (the screw is a normal right-hand thread) and now I know how to clean the sawdust out from behind the pad. My only issue it that the "hooks" (velcro) on the pad are smaller than on the "regular" pad that I got several years ago so a few sanding disks don't stick any more.
