Worked out as a great water bridge from one tank to another. Needed to put sponge filter in each end to keep the critters from swimming from one side to another. Now when water gets low I fill one side and they automagically even out! My hope is that this will increase the water volume, and balance things out between both tanks. each tank is 5.5g which I felt was too little water, now I have 11g, and maybe 22g and a couple more tubes soon!

I purchased this item to add added water flow to my overflow. I wanted to add a larger pump into my sump that would help cycle more water.The U-Tube does not have venting tube to remove the access air and prime the system. So you have to use a rubber hose to accomplish this. I had a other u-tube that had a notch on the top and a tub sticking out of it that made it easy to prime and clear it.I thought I would be crafty and make this hole my self and add a silicon tube on my own. Well the U-Tube cracked and now it's a big mess, I covered it with silicon and got it working.Other than that it did work. If you do cut a hole don't use a drill that doesn't have a speed control, and turn your cell phone off too.

I got one of these to build my own overflow box for my large aquarium. Works like a champ.Only word of caution: If you need to cut it shorter on one side like I did, do not try to use pvc pipe cutters. It will crack and shatter the end. Instead use a fine hand saw or a cut wheel.

I misread the title & description on my smartphone. I thought it meant one U-tube that was one-quarter inch in size but it's one U-tube that is one and one-quarter inch. As it is, I held onto it because it didn't seem worth trouble to return it. It is solid and arrived with cracks or other visible damage. I plan to have an aquarium again when I settle down so I kept it.

Do the job, but before to install it, I recommend to cover it of a black electrical tape to avoid permanent cleaning.I also modified mine to suck the air a the highest point, as this air accumulation was a problem for me

What?! It’s black? Why is the photo depicting a clear item? “Comes in assorted colors” ok but there’s no selection to choose from so it defaults to black? Even when the pic is clear? I’m returning. I needed a clear one.

used to make a bridge to the overflow box on an undrilled tank. works perfect. solid materials are not brittle. I would recommend to others / I would buy this again.

Arrived in good condition, needs a mod done to remove bubble collection at top of bend like the Tunze u tube
