The clip also goes back to its original spot all the time. It will not get bent out of shape unless forcibly abused. **Q: How do I get the cap off? It looks like a solid piece of metal. I have pulled as hard as I can, nothing happens.** A: When I first got the pen it was very hard to open. I had to pull super hard to get the cap off.
