Detroit Axle - Brake Kit for 2009-2014 Nissan Maxima

I have never done brakes before, but mechanic prices have gotten way expensive. It was time for pads, and the rotors looked like they have been turned multiple times on my old truck. So after watching multiple YouTube videos, I decided it was time to give a try to a break job. I searched Amazon, and these came up on sale for Prime Day. They were cheaper than the lowest price I was quoted for just pads, and had great reviews. I’m glad i went with this set. It looked identical to OEM parts on the truck, and though there was a bit of a learning curve, everything fit back perfectly. The truck stops with no issues. If I ever do another break job I’ll go with Detroit Axle. Highly satisfied.

This is a well put together set. And the price is amazing. What I will say is mine did not come with the brake cleaner or brake fluid. It was checked off on the invoice but not in the box. And I didn't catch it until much later. Also the clips that Hardware didn't fit as well as I would have hoped. I had to work with it a lot to get it fixed so much so that I wound up trying to hunt down a different set. But overall it's good quality products. The rotors and pads are really nice. Worth the price. Just check your box right away make sure all your parts are there.

Perfect fit. Works great, car now stops smoothly. Watch a YouTube video and learn how to change your brakes yourself, save a ton of money. Shop quote be like 1000 bucks, this is an amazing deal. Won't hesitate to get these for my other vehicles when needed.

Ease of installation: I did not even need to hire any labor for installation of this break and rotor kit! I am a woman, and my father taught me how to change this kit on different model cars in the past. Luckily he helped me change my brakes and rotors on my 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L! So this was a breeze! I finished in an hour or less with all the correct equipment and tools. The price is absolutely worth it for needing to spend no other money than just this kit. It includes everything you need to change the parts behind all 4 of the tires. All the other kits I viewed on the shopping page were the same price and did not include all 4 breaks and rotors. They usually sold 5 and 5 pieces separately. (10 pieces needed total—6 breaks & 4 rotors. I didn't need to hire anyone, didn't need to buy anything else needed to perform the install, didn't need to go out of my way to acquire super specific tools, and I didn't need to go anywhere to have this entire setup delivered to my front door and change out the old parts the same day of receiving the new!!!! I still have this kit applied to my Cadillac, and it is working perfectly still. I will be using this company for purchasing future parts online. Perfect fit

I trained mechanics on procedures for installing parts correctly in the automotive industry for 18yrs. I’ve been on the industry for 10 years, but my son needed front and rear brakes on a 2017 Lexus ES 350. I know what materials are used with the pads and rotors on this vehicle and at cost I would be looking close to $450. I came across this set on Amazon and thought to myself there’s no way this is going to be a good product but it was going on a teenagers’s car and I was willing to try it out. After installing the front and rear brakes I am pleased to say they are working perfectly. People complain about rust on the hat, but if it’s that big of a deal, tape off the rotor service and get rust oleum high heat, Rust protector, paint and paint them and you will never see it. Just like OE product, if installed correctly you will get a smooth quiet stop every time. Lube the friction contact areas and replace the hardware and you will have a great breaks with this product.

Great product for the price , kit makes it easy and Install smooth. Only not is rear pads did t come with springs like front had to reuse old ones .

Overall great product, easy to install at home if you have the tools for it, everything fit nice, took it for a test drive and no squeaking or noises, stops so much better on my Ram than how its been for years. However i gave it 4 stars because shipping was just horrendous, isnt the shippers fault although they shipped with FedEx which is the worst carrier to exist. Held my package past delivery date till I had decided to go see if it was at a pickup location. Turns out it was and my Brake set packaging was just destroyed, luckily nothing was damaged just do wish shipping was a little more careful * UPDATE * After around 3 months with them, they do squeak loud usually when braking around 1-5mph
