CUTTING EDGE Pen is a a bright LED flashlight, and a writing instrument all in one. The ink pen uses standard refills and flashlight requires one AAA battery. Review: This thing is bright! And durable. It's perfect - probably the best in the world. Lifetime warranty! - It's bright!!! This is the brightest, best ink penlight in the world that I could find. It does everything I could want from a penlight. It doesn't turn on on accident in my pocket, just rotate bezel 1/2 turn. The clip is solid and stays clipped. Locktite the other sections if you don't want them unscrewing accidentally, but they don't if you hold on to the right part when unscrewing it, it's not hard, and there's not really another way for it to be designed. It's not top heavy, as I see other people complaining on similar pens; there's an AAA battery in there, in the only spot the engineers could have put it - how could you complain about that? As far as the pen cap lid, I see other people complain about this design on other pens, but really, what alternatives are there? You can bore out the threads on the cap and put on an O-ring and it will pull off instead of twist off, but then you'd have people complaining that it falls off too easily. Only design fault I could find was that the ink cartridge moves side to side just a quarter of a mm or so while you write - this can be fixed with a different ink cartridge or a little tiny bit of rubber tube. Personally, I think it's perfectly designed, and the lifetime warranty is AWESOME. Suppliers, I an interested in receiving products for detailed video reviews. Review: This can be annoying when removing it from a shirt pocket - A rather low end option when searching for a tactical pen. I own the Gerber so that is the Gold Standard to me. However Gerber doesn't have a LED light on theirs and I needed one. LED light is turned on and off by screwing and unscrewing top LED portion of the pen. This can be annoying when removing it from a shirt pocket. Uses Parker Pen Refills and one AAA Battery. For the price I paid I cannot complain.

Great flashlight
This is a great multi purpose flashlight. I put one in my mini travel toolkit and have since purchased them for a number of other people. Everyone likes them a lot. The biggest complaint I hear is that the pen can be a little difficult to get out and the tip can come lose on that side sometimes. Aside from that it's super handy to have around.

Great quality for the price
Was VERY impressed with the quality. As others have noted, VERY BRIGHT LIGHT, more than enough to blind an assailant. Sturdy construction. The cap for the pen screws on so you don't have to worry about it falling off. I also liked the idea that the pen refills are simple to obtain and uses one standard AAA battery. It is large for an everyday pen BUT perfect size for use as a Kubotan. Can't beat the quality for the price . Would definitely purchase again

Penlight lightpen tactical gadget thing
I love this gadget. The light is superbright and the body is really well-made. The clip is sturdy and high-quality. The pen writes nicely although it admittedly is little top-heavy. Chances are I will not be writing my novel with this pen so I'm not too worried about it. I'd happily buy this again or give it as a gift.

Light is much brighter than I expected; the pen is a little top-heavy, but I don't anticipate that being too much of an issue. The on-off for the light is a bit cumbersome; if you twist the wrong spot, you'll open the battery compartment as opposed to turning the light on/off. For the price, solid piece of equipment.

The dna scrapper is annoying and makes it harder to pull off as “just a pen.” So does the logo. Sometimes when trying to turnoff flashlight, you unscrew the thing. That’s annoying. Nice length for those with big hands. I’d prefer a cap design that’s not screw on.
