I waited too long for this purchase.
Due to various health issues, my wife has a very difficult time walking; it's somewhat uncomfortable for her and she moves very slowly while holding my hand for stability. For several years we've used a full-sized wheelchair when we knew we would be in a situation requiring her to be mobile over a long distance or time. The large wheelchair is difficult to accommodate due to size and weight. I finally did the research and bought the Transport Wheelchair. WOW! So much better for our day-to-day life. This chair is light weight; the back folds down to lower the upright profile and then the chair folds along the center of the seat/backrest. It now fits easily into the back of our SUV - even behind the upright 3rd-row seat. The weight is easy to handle even for me (I'm 75). The "parking brake" engages with the flick of your wrist and stabilizes the chair for my wife to get in to or out of the chair. The removeable footrests are easy to install and remove which makes the chair even lighter, smaller and easier to load into the car. I have no doubt that the chair would fit into a normal "trunk" space on a sedan type vehicle or perhaps even into the space behind the fronts seats (assuming there was no passenger in the backseat on that side). My wife loves the chair and also the fact that she knows it's easier for me to deal with. Don't wait as long as I did. It's more than worth the price.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Bought this to use when taking my 93 year old mother on errands, including doctor visits. It is so much easier to put in my car than her walker, and is very light weight. I love it and so does she! This folds and stores easily. My mom loves the red and black (it matches her walker). It's kind of racy looking. The price cannot be beat. Remove the footrests (super easy) before folding it to place in car or store in a closet. When out and about, I keep the footrests in the same box in which they came, and put them on after my mom is in the chair. Be aware that there are only hand brakes that do not lock into place, and no brakes that lock on the wheels. You have to squeeze the hand brakes on the handle, which, again, is very easy, in order to keep the chair stabilized when someone is getting into and out of the chair.

Easy to assembly, Lightweight, Easy to Fold, Highly Recommended
I bought this chair for my dad, he is with Alzheimer and has loose a lot of mobility and it has made such a difference. Itโs lightweight, easy to fold, and very comfortable for him to sit in. We use it both at home and when weโre out, now we can take a walk while he enjoy it, we can go out and eat with him, and itโs been sturdy and reliable. It gives him more independence, and itโs easy for us to transport. It came pre assembled and took less than 5 min to have the chair ready to use. We are very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, portable chair.

Good value!
Pros: This chair is 20% lighter than the previous one we had so it is a little easier to take with us. The wheels, so far, have held up well (i.e., no punctures or tears from rocks or gravel on sidewalks). The brakes work well and maneuvering the chair is easy. The fabric is tough and attractive. I can easily tilt the rider to get up and down curbs and small steps during neighborhood walks. Potential cons: I have to get used to the separation of handles - it is a little narrower than I expected, which makes the chair feel like it has a high center of gravity. The footrests are not as easy to remove as our previous one. When folding chair to transport it in the car trunk - I was used to one hand one motion unlatching and removal, but these footrests require separate unlatching and removal actions.

GREAT TRANSPORT CHAIR. PROVIDES US WITH FREEDOM TO GET AROUND...FOR OUR MOM AND FOR US.
Perfect for our 98 year old Mom. When we go shopping it takes the stress off of her and she now enjoys shopping with us. No more worrying that she is slowing us down. This chair is a great weight, easy to get in and out of the car, turning radius is great, we take it everywhere...color is great. Great purchase. People ask us about it when we are out with our Mom.

Assembly? What assembly?
I was dreading having to assemble this chair for my wife to use, but was amazed that it took no real assembly at all - just had to be unfolded and the foot rests popped on โ not a single screw to turn! The chair is relatively light to lift but well made and appears to be perfectly durable for moderate use. Great chair - great price - you can't go wrong!

Happy purchase!
Brand new, it looks very nice and works perfectly. It's not difficult to get into and out of. The seat is wide enough for a large boned, but not fat, man of 5'10". The cushion recommended by other buyers makes it quite comfortable. The foot rests were too high until we read the directions, learning that they are adjustable. They're sturdy and a good size. Brakes work. Ride seems smooth. The wheelchair folds and unfolds without too much effort (one side stuck a bit and needed some muscle to close it the first time). And it's compact, so travel won't be a problem. We'll know more about durability after our first trip.

Mega-pleased with this transport chair!
Really glad I ordered this chair. I couldn't lift Hubby's 'regular' (heavy) wheelchair into a vehicle. He had multiple appointments coming up and I did NOT want to pay for a transportation van even one more time. This chair not only would arrive quickly but checked all the boxes--that is, after reading many reviews of various transport wheelchairs and learning what to look for. I absolutely LOVE how LIGHT and COMPACT this is! And the collapsible handles! They lock securely into place but also an easy press releases them to fold down. Absolutely no struggle. I can easily, quickly get this chair out of the back of the jeep and set up, or the reverse, in no time, which is SO valuable to me in winter weather when that wind whips right through me, brrrr. As chair size goes, I'd think it could fit in most any vehicle--any trunk or hatch anyway, and probably some back seats. Just my unfounded guess. As human size goes, it's a slight squeeze for my female size 2X/3X hips to get past the arms, but not difficult or uncomfortable, and once past, the seat and back are comfortable. I'm not the user, however. Hubby's 5'8", 160 lb body has zero problems fitting and he says it's quite comfortable. Also, I'm 5'7" and the handle height is perfectly comfortable for me to push. He finds the padded arms to be comfy. The footrests are adjustable in length, and easy to put on, lock into place, or swing out of the way. They don't lock out of the way, to the sides, however, and they fall off easily when loading the chair into the vehicle, but it's no problem in my opinion, because it's so easy to put them back on next time I unload it. Oh! Let's not forget the selling point that is the hand brakes! Once I learned of such a thing, I zoned in on only chairs with this fantastic feature. I do have to bend over to put the footrests on, but at least I don't have to bend every time brakes are called for. (Ok, bending isn't necessarily a big deal but it's certainly a bonus to not have to.) At first it seemed like the hand brakes didn't work; I thought I might break them if I push down too hard. But I discovered it's ok and necessary to push down firmly. It became no big deal after doing it once. Ok, I think I covered everything I can think of. I have zero regrets; I'm only thankful this chair, that makes my life easier (quick set-up in cold weather) and saves me substantial money by not paying for transportation, came into my life.

Peso ligero
Muy funcional para mis papรกs. La silla es muy ligera, la diferencia con una normal es bastante, tiene frenos y un par de agarraderas para cargar con las manos. Tambiรฉn trae una correa larga para colgar al hombro. Si hace una diferencia

Good quality and features.
Lightweight, foldable and sturdy. What more could you ask for in a transport chair? Purchased for my elderly mom who found it comfortable. Price was very competitive.

Functional, but for limited use.
BLUF: Stick to very smooth surfaces and short distances - this is not a tough-built chair. I purchased this chair for my wife who had broken an ankle. We planned on using the chair for holiday travel to Oslo this December, as she could not walk in her cast. The first time we drove through the city was the day after Christmas. We had traveled just a few hundred feet down a sidewalk when the left front caster disintegrated. The weight load on the chair was nowhere near the listed 300# maximum. It being Oslo (socialist medicine - everyone who needs a wheelchair gets one) and Christmas week, there was no place to rent a replacement. The airline wouldn't ship a broken chair free and the additional luggage fee was $100, so the chair stayed in Norway. While I would normally request a replacement, I had nothing to return. Just got off the phone with Amazon - they agreed to refund the cost of purchase. For the manufacturer, only beefier/stronger caster material would help. As designed, the casters are the weakest part of the chair. While this wheelchair is listed as an "Expedition" model, it would be best suited to flat, level ground and short distances. The brake is operator-initiated and cannot be locked; do not leave occupants unassisted -- I was OK with this. Folded as advertised; held it closed with a strap I provided. The foot supports are not designed to fold and still remain attached to the chair; they are quite light, quickly and easily removable, and went in a carry-on for the flight. Very light weight chair, easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces.
