Very cool/beautiful watch-just anticipate band issues later
Cool watch. Just received it in the mail (purchased late afternoon yesterday) and it came before I anticipated which is great. The watch itself is basically exactly what I expected, very cool watch. It has a nice weight to it, buttons and mechanics work fine and I love the awesome black stainless steel look! The blue on the face is a tad darker than pictured but that's a good thing (for me anyway). It still shines brighter blue in direct sunlight. Sits nice on my wrist. The only thing I didn't expect is the band clasp-it's fine (so far) but it IS an adjustable type band and was difficult to move and size. Says on instructions you need a "tool" but never specifies what tool and didn't come with any. The diagram is vague at best so after using a paper lip and poking it I finally got the clasp to move-however, not sure if I got it back secured properly or not. I anticipate trouble from this band over time. Otherwise, beautiful watch.

A watch in search of a band & proper instructions
Yeah, well it's OK, so far. The second day, that is. The watch, only 'time will tell' (pun intended) The watch band? A disaster in just about every respect, unless to have three hands, or are in no particular hurry to put it on, OR ADJUST it to your wrist. Much fiddling, much adjusting, much, 'no, that's not quite it, do it again'. I'll wait a week or so to check watch function, then take it to a jeweler to get a better band, and put this band where it belongs, in the trash, Oh watch function? As usual, for 'things like this' ... VERY hard to figure out, would be helpful IF they were the right instructions for THIS watch (they are not), but hey, I guess it's part of the 'fiddle factor' with this piece. ;-(

Excellent watch for the price
Excellent watch for the price. The instructions are somewhat limited, but it is not a difficult watch to figure out. My only complaint would be that the watch does not come with an effective "tool" (which is needed, based on the instructions) to adjust the strap. That said a butter knife somewhat worked for me. All in all, if you can pick this watch up for relatively cheap, its not a bad buy. Looks classy, feels quality, and is light on the wrist. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

Nice watch at a great price!
After not wearing a watch for almost 10 years, I got the itch to find another good watch to wear. Started looking at the Slow watch (single hand, 24 hr) but $300 was a little steep. The Akribos came up on sale and I figured I'd give it a chance. The option of free returns was also swaying my decision. So far I really like this watch. The band was easy to adjust (just slide the receiver side of the clasp, it's spring loaded and snaps into place) The weight and size is perfect. That band is comfortable and the watch itself is stylish. We'll see how it holds up, but so far I'm very impressed.

Battery was dead on arrival! However, after having it replaced I like the watch.

Band adjustment arrived non-functioning so I was unable to resize it. Quality did not feel good overall. I had to return this item and I tried to just get a replacement but since it was on-sale I was unable to.I love metal woven bands, but I think I am just going to stick with Skagen, much higher quality.

I loved the look; however, the eatch is quite heavy...The "Adjustable" strap is troublesome. I actually returned it.

Very elegant watch with only a couple of downsides....please read below
Wow! This is an incredibly elegant watch. It is my first time purchasing a watch off of amazon so I was a little skeptical if this would be any good or not in terms of quality and appearance. I am pleasantly surprised. This watch imo, is very high quality. Everything feels very smooth and has a nice tactile touch for the crown and side buttons. I can vouch for the pictures on here giving an accurate representation of this watch in person. It's very sleek. However, despite the good things about this watch, there are some downsides. First of all, the band is a bit difficult to adjust and there is no instruction paper that comes with the watch to tell you how to adjust it. Google it! There are many videos online showing you how to adjust the band. Second. In terms of putting the watch on your wrist and taking it off...it's a little bit of a pain. But there's a small trick. Under the metal tab bearing the watch label "akribos" there is a tiny sideways hook that hooks onto the other side of the metal band. DO NOT force the tab/metal band apart (trying to get it off of your wrist) as it can bend. (I figured it out the hard way). It takes a bit of practice to get it unhooked but you will figure it out. All in all, a fantastic and beautiful watch! I am very satisfied with my purchase. Especially for $100. Oh yeah, and one other thing, the box it came in is absolutely gorgeous....but I won't spoil the presentation for you, you'll have to find out when you purchase it!

Excellent watch!
This is one excellent watch! I've never owned a mesh-band watch before, so I was a bit hesitant to order one (not knowing how it would fit on my wrist as I have somewhat small wrists). But I'm glad I did! The band is totally adjustable (just had to watch a video online of how to as the instructions that came with the watch didn't mention anything about the band) and sits comfortably on my wrist. The watch isn't too heavy or too large and looks really classy. It features a blue face (which looks a bit darker than the photos online) + 3 subdials + a date window. It has kept time so far really well too!The only, minor, issue with this watch is that occasionally if I move my hand backwards, it touches the upper chronograph button, which then stops the seconds-hand from moving. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in a while (just press the button again, and it should start moving again).Regardless, I give the watch 5/5 - still awesome!

The watch is really good looking on the wrist
The watch is really good looking on the wrist. The only issue comes with its steel band. This makes the watch rather heavy for long term use. I changed it to a leather band and now I have a fantastic looking watch which is not so heavy either.

It looks better in person
I bought this as a gift and was suprised. It looks better in person. Decent quality. It was a little heavy, but it is a bigger watch after all. I would buy another akribos because of their unique designs. The MSRP for their watches are BS. It is fairly priced compared to the competition.
