They are pretty thin, but they keep fingerprints away, and I was able to use my phone. I wear a large size men's glove and these fit nicely. They are well enough made for moderate use, but I don't think they would stand up too well if you needed to take them on and off dozens of times a day. Haven't tried washing then, but you certainly can hand wash and hang dry to extend their life.
