Such a wonderful tea! Light and refreshing with a beautiful taste! I also found it has a subdued natural sweet flavour to it.

This has become my favourite tea, to drink first thing in the morning and mid-afternoon. It's got quite a different flavour to normal green tea, smokier and a little bit musty (in a surprisingly pleasant way). Really recommend giving it a go :)

So lovely. Shame that it is so expensive! But a great taste of Japan. Takes me back.

Delicious tea in beautiful box. I love the taste of roasted green tea

I’ve drank Green tea for many years now (20 plus years!) and really enjoy it. To the point where I leave a bag in the tea right to the end. I’ve cut out caffeine due to medication so this seemed a great idea. It does have a bit of the green tea taste still but slightly more subtle, less sharp. There is a slight caramel/nutty flavour to it. I really like it, it’s definitely a quiet relaxing tea to have when you get a chance to stop. I’m having mine in the evening and this is only the second cup, but I’d say I’m a fan.

This tea, the Hojicha, is beautiful, rich and very light on caffeine due to its having been roasted. I have seen a better value brand, however, and that one is organic. Gorgeous satisfying aroma.

Te molto buono, gusto gradevole non troppo intenso, effattivamente è più buono da bere tiepido, si sente di più l'aroma un pó legnoso/tostato. Come ho letto da altri lascia molti residui nella tazza, cercherò dei filtri più sottili.

Muy sabroso y buen precio. Eso, sí, muy importante no hervir el té y respetar los tiempos de infusión para que no haya oxidación y consecuente pérdida de sabor -- todas las variedades de té verde necesitan ese cuidado, incluso el hojicha, que es el más 'tolerante' a altas temperaturas. Soy descendiente de japoneses y llevo toda mi vida tomando este té. Al contener menos teína que otras variedades, es excelente como digestivo y tradicionalmente en Japón se toma incluso por la tarde sin afectar el sueño. Además, el sabor tostado lo hace más beginner-friendly para los que no están acostumbrados a las saponinas astringentes de los tés verdes no tostados. Para mí, el hojicha sabe a hogar y familia <3
