I use these as journals and have since I was a kid when I had to take the subway to an art supply store to purchase them. This way is much easier! Exactly what I wanted and expected. Unlined so sketching and drawings as well as writing and anything else I want to document is perfect!

5 stars is a joke. Just to warn you from buying.I have boughten so many sketch books over the years, these are the worst.There was no mention in the description that the pages are perforated, they start to tear out as you flip through the book and sketch. It makes the sketching area of your work even smaller.What's worse is the spine broke within a week. Now the entire book is ruined.Yes, removing the sticker will also tear your cover. It's true.If I had known that the pages were perforated I would have never bought these. Not a good value. Waste of money and my sketches.

As someone who's constantly looking for the right sketchbook, I've learned what kind of paper I want. The paper seems to have two textures, the front being more smooth than the back. I found it perfect for alcohol markers, cause as you can see from the photos, it didn't bleed through to the next page no matter how much I layered (although I still recommend scrap paper just in case). There was some places where the marker ate at the paper, but that was with water-based markers. It really is best for dry mediums like pencil and fineliners (heck, even glitter pens work on here), and I wouldn't use water, these pages buckle and get a rougher texture. I would advise that the spine did start breaking on me, but I am the type to carry my sketchbook in a bag when I'm going out.All in all, I am definitely buying more once I finish these two (did I mention filling 220 pages can take some time? I've had this for 8 months and I'm still on the first book, ha ha), love them and hope there's other sizes cause these are nice to work with.

The cover paper is not shiny like in the phot. It also ripped when I removed the product identity sticker from the cover leaving a large, unsightly tear.This did not bother me as I was covering the product with leather though I wish I had a more solid underlayment.The picture shows the dull paper cover and an after picture just because. :D

I do 3 sketches a day. These are nice, purse size, good paper quality.

If you like to draw or have artsy kids these books are wonderful! We needed some for advanced art classes for our son. He gets complements on the book quality often, we will continue to purchase!!

These are really well made and have nice heavy paper. I thought because they were cheaper than the other ones that I'm used to buying that maybe I should expect them to feel cheaper but I can't tell the difference. Thank you!

These little 4x6 sketchbooks are perfect for my journaling uses!Just an FYI for those of you looking to purchase these, when I received mine the covers were glued on kind of lopsided and would not have held up well. I didn't want the covers though, so I tore them off and recovered them in cotton calico fabrics I have. It worked wonderfully and now I have a beautiful little set of calico diaries! The paper is so creamy and smooth, perfect for writing with papermate flair pens, ballpoints, pencil, or even fountain pens if done carefully. I am definitely getting more sets of these to cover in other fabrics!
