This device works
First off the units operate with solar so don't require the hassle or expense of batteries. This is my 4th order of these critter repellers which says something about their usefulness to me. I have been plagued by rabbits eating my flowering plants and my vegetable plants for years. I have used live traps, sprays, granules and another non-solar marketed device. The first three items simply did not work. The non-solar device did work but needs an electricity source or batteries and is time consuming to use. This solar device not only keeps rabbits out of my gardens but also skunks, raccoons, woodchucks and the neighbor's roaming cat. I have such faith in this product's ability that I have planted broccoli in one of my gardens. I live in a City with restrictions on noise so I set the sensitivity to "high" and to "5" on the options. That second setting gives me the very high frequency (not audible to me) and the flashing strobe light when anything enters the range--day or night. If I didn't have neighbor's I would set it to "4" where it would do what my setting does plus a menacing sound. This has been a life saver for my gardens and the stress level I used to have when my plantings were chewed off or eaten right down to the ground. My outdoor birds don't seem adversely affected, including the hummingbirds.

Worked great for about a month
I was so impressed with this product when it first came that I bought a second one for another part of my yard. The deer that had been terrorizing my flowers stayed away for awhile but soon got used to it in one specific spot so I started moving it and added liquid fence as an extra deterrent. I also started changing up the sounds that it would make. At about 1.5 months of use each one started breaking down. The first one I purchased quit working altogether no matter what I do. I tried leaving it off for a few days to see if that would help and placed it in bright sunlight for hours. Nothing. The second one doesn't turn off unless you shut off the power. It alternates nonstop between the high pitch squeal and the siren. I loved this product when I first got it but I'm so disappointed now. I didn't even get 1 summer of use out of them. I never write reviews but this seemed like a necessity.

Solar critter repeller
I have invested in several types of these sensors the last three years. I bought two similar to these so I wanted to try them. So far they work well in the garden beds. We have neighbor cats and I don’t see them as much. These bigger sensors seem to last longer with weather and sprinklers. Do not invest in the smaller ones. None of them last as long.

Short lived!!!!
Bought this in July of last year (so 7 months ago). It’s not working anymore, I think the rain got in it. So even if the rain didn’t get in it, 7 months is unacceptable. It was actually on light duty, maybe once a week. If the rain DID cause it to malfunction…..then this is a poor design. The whole reason is to be outside!!! While it WAS working, I did like it. The instructions were straightforward. It seemed to be effective most of the time.

Will not recharge fully on Solar
I bought two of these to detour Armadillos from digging up the front yard. They actually worked very well for about two weeks. No more armadillos, or at least a lot less digging. The sound really does scare them off. The problem is that the solar cell on top of the unit does not put out enough current to fully recharge the batteries during the day. So after a few weeks the unit stops working completely and you have to take it inside and plug it into a charger. Due to this, I consider the device pretty much useless.

It really works!!
I am an animal lover, but not when stray cats use my back yard as their litter box!! I tried the "No-More-Spraying" repellent, with no success. Then I tried going out whenever I heard a cat to "shoo" it away, but that, of course, did not catch the problem 100 percent of the time. I ordered this product, afraid it, too, might fail...but it came through "with flying colors"!! It has taken care of the problem COMPLETELY!! Since installing one near the cats' "entrance" areas, I have had no more stray cats in my yard!! I am so extremely grateful for this wonderful product!!

Doesn't work
What a waste of money. There are two main problems with this product. 1. The motion sensitivity is way too high. Even turned down all the way it's triggered from across the yard. That would be fine except that the sound it emits is very audible by human ears and very unpleasant. 2. The most important thing is that it doesn't work. I watched my dog walk right up to the device all while blaring that awful sound and the dog was totally unphased.

It worked for 5 weeks only. No refund, no replacement and no response from support.
