Does this hold up to heat if you put hot coals in it to put them out for later use?

This isn’t for tons of hot coals. It’s for mostly cool/cold ashes that might have some remnant embers. Plan on emptying right after placing ashes in it.

It does not have a double bottom.

Is the handle made of wood or plastic?

The handle is all metal with a small piece in the center that’s wood for carrying!

Does this ash bucket have a true double steel bottom and what is the gauge of the galvanized iron sheet metal used to make this bucket?

The bottom does not get super hot but I don’t put coals in this. Only truly burnt ashes. So the bottom is thicker steel. Do not know the gauge.
