Perfect for personal use. It's a small individual unit, so it's not going to cool your whole room down, but if you fill it with a bit of water (on super hot nights we use crushed ice or ice cold water) and point it at your face it really cools you down. It's quiet and small, so doesn't take much storage for the rest of the year, which is perfect for me. A big unit would be nice for 10 days a year and a pain to store the rest of the time. Some of the reviews put me off at first, but I think that's high expectations or not sticking with it. It feels a little underwhelming at first - it's a drizzle not a torrent - but after a few minutes I'd stopped sweating and eventually I even felt a bit cold. I thought the weather had cooled, but when I switched it off I was immediately sweating and too hot to sleep again. The timer function is really good. I set it to go off an hour or two after I'm asleep. The only slight pain is that it has an 'on' light. We put a sticker over it so it wouldn't glow at night. For the size, the money, and the ease of use it's great.

*Edit after two months* - Unfortunately, due to the poor design of the micro USB port from which the fan gets its power, the fan now has an intermittent problem with shutting off if the cable is ever so slightly moved. I am always careful of not bending cables when plugged in, it’s down to the poor design, as there is about 2mm of plastic between the surface of the product and the port, so it’s physically impossible to get the cable to sit fully in - physics will not allow. I have now changed my star rating to 1 - as this is a very expensive product and I had purchased expensive spare filters for a product that now does not work. Original review is below, but I’d avoid the product at all costs. I was dubious about getting this after reviews stated that mould grows on the filter, but thought I’d give it a shot. I’m glad I did. On a hot day, it feels nearly as good as air con with iced water being used. I also use filtered water - perhaps this prevents mould growth, as after several weeks I have not seen any on the filter yet. My one main criticism is the size of the inlet/outlet on the water tank. With it being so small it takes ages to put individual pieces of crushed ice in. If they could have made that larger the I would have given five stars. The fan is by no means quiet, but it is powerful, which is good. If you’re a deep sleeper like me, then you’ll have no problem with this on the low setting at night. Ive also had no leaks at all, and I don’t see how it could leak unless user error - if the water tank had water in it, then you mustn’t tip the unit, as this will cause water to come out of the bottom of the unit where it fills up. The unit is also powered by usb, so it’s a very cheap upfront cost and running cost when compared to an air con unit, however do not expect this to cool down a room - it won’t - it’s for personal space only - so for home workers at a desk, for example, this is great. Overall, I’d recommend this to someone who has filtered water and access to crushed ice. If you don’t have crushed ice, then I think I’d find a different product that has a wide opening on the water tank, as I think ice is a necessity when it comes to actually cooling the air.

Was surprised at the noise level for such a small unit. The unit does put out cool air, but only at fairly close range. Even cooler if you chill the water first! Ok for a desk top or a few feet from your face. It will struggle to cool anything but a home office!

I was very surprised at the small size and its effectiveness. It gives out really nice cool air, even when the water tank is empty. It also has an impressive amount of range when on full. My biggest criticism is its noisy as hell, so it is in no way useable when sleeping, if that is a must need look elsewhere. I'm often working or playing games with head phones on, so if you can ignore the noise or block it out, its a pretty effective little air cooler. But a word of warning DO NOT pick it up with water in the reservoir, it will start to pour out of the holes on the bottom, and it will continue to even when you put it down again

Compact unit that sends out a good blast of cool air. A little noisy but have used it whilst doing video calls and whilst the other side can hear it they say it's not too bad. Straightforward to use. If you plug the USB into a USB plug for a mains socket then there are no issues with power etc. Recommended

Filter got mouldy within 2 weeks, unable to clean or exchange as paper. Therefore completely unusable. Without filter, its just a basic fan that doesnt do much.. Even with filter, cooling is mediocre.

Feel very comfortable when I put it in front of me. It cools and humidifies the air around. I also like the neat design very much. Just be careful when you move it with the fulfilled water tank. You need to move very slowly to keep the air cooler balanced, otherwise the water may leak off the the holes on the bottom. I'd also like to remind the guys who want to buy this air cooler. This is just an updated table fan. Don't expect it to cooler down a room as an AC. Over all, very good product. Glad to recommend!

For a little unit is is remarkably effective. Easy to set up and perfect to have by the pc. It provides just enough cooled air to be comfortable without blowing any papers around and without making a lot of noise. Surprisingly good.

We survived the 2021 BC heat dome with the help of this unit. In a low humidity environment the cooling action is very pronounced and it may have been a life saver. One complaint is the leakiness when moving the unit, but as I write this review more than two years after purchase the two units my wife and I bought are again keeping us cool and ensuring a good night’s sleep. Happy with the purchase and can recommend.

The personal AC is perfect for beside my bed, it was 32°C in my apt. It cooled me so I could sleep. Also I had an issue it was unable to be returned, I Contacted the company, they fixed the problem right away. I am very pleased and would buy from them again. Thank you
