It's a DVI cable for when you need a DVI Cable. Nothing fancy or spectacular, but it's cost effective and works like it should.

If you have an older computer and monitor, the best resolution you will be able to get is using the DVI standard.Compared to VGA, DVI is crisp and clean.The problem is that it is hard to find DVI cables at large distributors.Thank heavens I was able to get a DVI cable here on Amazon.It was a lifesaver, and I highly recommend it.

why not use HDMI? HDMI is evil.but besides that, my PC only has one HDMI port and I don't want to ruin it accidentally by kicking with my legs.this DVI cable connects directly to my GPU with screws to tighten it and it's perfect- doesn't pass sound but I don't want sound.

DVI may be old-fashioned compared to HDMI and Display Port, but I was using a relatively short DVI cable on my 24-inch ViewSonic monitor because it had come with the monitor and because I had thought my HDMI ports weren't working. We have no TV at our rustic summer home in Vermont's Green Mountains, so the PC and monitor are used in extensive streaming of movies and, from YouTube, the PBS NewsHour. I wanted to move the monitor a few feet from my desk to a coffee table so we could watch the streamed programming from a comfortable couch. We bought this Benfei extra-length cable to allow this, and it worked as it should. The screen images were excellent. Now we have a new 24-inch 4K monitor -- and we've figured out how to get an HDMI port to work with it. The DVI cable is in backup status now, and it's enjoying its vacation.

When COVID hit and I realized I needed a dual monitor setup for my personal work and my professional work, I found an "older" computer monitor that did not have the latest HDMI cable setup. Frustrated, I found this product on Amazon that would allow me to connect the older monitor with my desktop.In short: this product works. As long as your monitor and computer support DFI-D, my experience has been nothing but positive with this. The wire itself is physically strong and will probably outlast me physically, as long as it is taken care of. Given the fact I have the wire nestled behind my computer setup, I probably will never have to touch it, unless to clean up the area of dust and debris.As always, received fast and free shipping through Amazon Prime and only had to "suffer" one day before being able to complete my computer setup.

I was given a couple of monitors to use at home so I can work from home. Otherwise, I have to pack up 2 work monitors, a laptop, a keyboard, a docking station, mouse, and various cables.Both monitors are a little older in terms of technology and each had a VGA connector and a 24 +1 pin connector. They didn't come with cables.I got the 3-foot cables because I don't have a lot of room.They work great and now I can just bring the laptop and docking station home.
