KALIDI Casual Laptop Backpack 15 Inches Square Daypack Totepack Travel Bag

As far as looks, size, and shape, this is an exact match for the Fjallraven Kanken bag, but better features in my opinion. The size is perfect for Swiss Air & Lufthansa's size limit on "personal item bags" to fit under the airplane seat (as long as you're not using the side pockets and don't put anything bulky in the small front pouch while flying) and it makes a great daypack while site-seeing so it is really ideal for travel. It will fit a mac book pro in a protective case in the main compartment (though not in the built in sleeve within the bag if the case is still on it). In addition to the laptop I was able to fit my charging cable, outlet converter, airpods max, airpods pro, portable battery pack, personal medication, eye glasses in a hard case, a book, an eye mask, and a few other small items and still zip everything up. It is nice that there are built in zipper pockets inside to help you organize smaller items. The actual Kanken bags want you to buy a separate organizer for that. The outer side pockets are great because the elastic keeps them flat to the side of the bag when needing a compact bag for stowing under airline seats but they can also expand to hold a 1 liter nalgene bottle on each side which is great for hiking. The actual Kanken bags have flat pockets that might hold pencils or a paper brochure and again, they want to sell you a bottle pocket as an add on separately for each side that you want that functionality. This Kalidi bag has built in padding on the backpack straps for comfort, where as, once again the name brand bag wants you to buy separate strap padding. After two weeks of rugged international travel with this bag as a daily carry, including on 4 flights, on/off dozens of trains, and over 110 miles of walking over two weeks of site-seeing in the city and hiking in the mountains, my only real complaints are that without the laptop in it, it doesn't really keep its shape, and there is no padding in the back of the bag that sits against your back, so if you put something hard or lumpy against the back, you're going to feel it. Just stick a folder in the back and pack smart and its not a big deal. Given that this is visually identical to a Fjallraven Kanken that is 3x to 4x times the price AND the Kalidi includes multiple features that Kanken wants to charge an extra $115 for as add ons, the value for your money with this bag is incredible. I highly recommend!

I bought this bag since I’m a backpack purse mama and I must say this bag is amazing. The durability not only withstood my kid yanking on it but the rain which soaked my bag and it dried quickly. The zipper quality is perfect and zips with ease and the size of the bag fits all my everyday wife, business woman, and mom needs. Great padding not just on the inside but the straps which fit so much better on my wheelchair. Very easy to take on and off my wheelchair as well and doesn’t get stuck like other bags I’ve used. I would definitely recommend this brand of bag as well as the color. It’s even the perfect color to match my cute bag charm which makes the bag even more charming.

I love this back pack! My absolute favorite part is one that I almost never use. If you’re a parent of a smol looking at this, do it. It’s has these awesome buttons that half the backpacks straps. No more dangling. It’s very light and holds a lot of stuff. I have a large cocoon grid it, with all my bits and bobs, a jacket, a pack it lunch box, and a 1/2 gallon water jug. It looks a lot like the Swedish ones, but the material is different. Those ones feel like a lizard, this one feels soft and smooth. I got the light teal color. I’m a post man, my job is hecken dirty! On top of that, I ride a bike to work in the PNW. The bag still looks niiiice 4 months later.

Cute and functional

This bag is perfect for sketchbooks, iPads, and daily use. Love the fun color and shape. I was worried I wouldn't like the feeling of the bag, I thought it would be a more raincoat texture, but I like it a lot. The zippers are a bit hard to pull when going around the sharp corners, but I don't mind.

I'm impressed with this backpack overall. I (44 y/o female, 5'6" ht) needed a pack to use as a personal item to take with me on a flight and four day trip to an alumni reunion at a summer camp in CO. I knew I'd be horseback riding, tubing, hiking, etc and would need to have something to carry water, sunscreen, a jacket, money, a towel, etc in. I'd have at least one kid with me and therefore would need snacks, and maybe even an iPad or something, too, in the bag. This pack is comfortable, has a good number of pockets with zippers including a secret slim zippered pocket on the back of it (part that goes against your back- perfect for passports/money/ID, etc). I like the size of it. It is not really "mini" but definitely smaller than a typical 16-18" book pack/bag a typically sized adult might use for school or more significant hiking. I tried several (e.g. 8+) smaller packs in my journey to find the right pack for my CO trip as all the packs we had in our house were at least 16" in height (too big for this need - Lands End kids, Pottery Barn kids, Mountain Hardwear, Gap, etc). The 11" ht packs were cute but I couldn't fit my 13" laptop inside easily. I ended up seeking a pack in the 12-14" ht range and this pack was a hit. The brand patch/pack looks so much like Fjallraven brand (intentionally obvs)which is fine funny and cute. The price point is much better, too. I will be removing or covering the Kalidi brand round patch with a different patch I like from my summer camp but otherwise I actually like the brand logo/look and would just leave as it. Buy it! You will be glad you did!

A beautiful rich color, very unusual and stands out. So far I love it, so the pictures with the items displayed is what I managed to fit in the bag, so much room and yet comfortable simultaneously. No back strains like I had experience with other brands. Perfect amount of pockets, the bag already has this plush lining for the laptop that I dont have concerns carrying it around if I need to in the future. Material is a bit shiny and like velcro. some pieces of material was slightly stringy in places but not a red flag, that happens to new bags all the time. So far no issues, super cute bag and at a sane price.

Took it on a trip around Sri Lanka for 6 weeks and it still looks brand new. Zips are great and there are lots of pockets. The colour is lush!
