One of the comments claimed that the company could not verify that the coating is ceramic. Can you confirm this?

On the front of the product instructions it says, "eco-friendly ceramic coating" I have other ceramic coated cooking products, and this does appear to be the same except that it is a dark color instead of white. It releases food wonderfully just like my other ceramic cooking products.

Ceramic coatings may contain lead & cadmium. Does this contain both? If not, why doesn't it say lead-free and cadmium-free?

How long does it take to cook a batch of waffles?

If, by batch, you mean one waffle, one waffle can be cooked in 3-5 minutes (after the iron has heated up) depending on how well done you prefer your waffles. If, by batch, you mean the entire batch of batter cooked into waffles, that would depend on the size of batter created. A good estimate may be to give yourself yourself about 5 minutes per waffle. Your batter recipe should give you the yield.
