DEVAISE 5-Drawer Filing Cabinet, Under Desk file Cabinet, Black

It's a GREAT cabinet for the price!! I use it to store my nail supplies and it's worked amazingly for pretty much every polish except one in the drawers, but the bottles are really big bottles with tall brush handles, so I figured they might not. It was easy to put together for me though and only took a little over an hour. The drawers took longer just because of the pieces but it was easy! The casters are the only thing that might not work well on carpet especially. I have tile floors, so it works well for me, but they're stiff and I could see it being hard to move on carpet possibly. I would probably just buy new casters though, because the cabinet works so well for my needs. I did buy a little shelf to add inside the cabinet, but that's a personal need. I wanted to take a star off because of the glue spots on it, but they wiped off ok. I've noticed this on a lot of brands lately? Fingerprints and excess glue here and there. This one didn't have much, so I decided to pass this time on marking a star off. You might have to wipe a panel off though. It was just on the one top front cabinet door part, but it was quite a bit. I thought it was a scratch too at first, it was so much glue. Otherwise a great cabinet. It was packaged well and had extra parts, which a lot of these don't come with and need. It's great storage for any crafter I would think too. The drawers are great on the tracks, with easy glide and the cabinet door doesn't close super slow, but doesn't slam either. Lol. It's a great storage cabinet for me and my needs. The only thing that confused me is that it comes with an anti tip cable, but it's on wheels?? I need mine to move, so I didn't use that. You will want to be careful though because it could tip if climbed on, the drawers are loaded with heavy items or if too many drawers are open at once. They shipped it so fast too! I got it 2 days later after them saying 5 days for shipping. So that was great and fast too!

This little cabinet is exactly what I was looking for to store my collection of craft products! I felt it was easy to assemble. I thought the directions were clear and the hardware was sufficient quality. The drawers open and close smoothly. Extra hardware was included in case something was buggered up, which was nice. The wheels roll fairly well over carpet, the product was as described, well worth the money spent, and delivery was quick. I suggest using a drill carefully rather than the tiny screwdriver provided. I recommend this product.

This was inexpensive and looks good. It took the place of a huge corner desk. We simply needed drawers for all our office junk. It came packages well. The bags of hardware were clearly marked, the side pieces are particle board that is labeled (by letter) on the edge. the back is a flimsy cardboard piece that hopefully won't matter. There is quite a bit of assembly necessary. You must attach all the drawer rails to the sides, assemble sides, drawers, top & bottom piece, wheels, basically the whole thing. It takes a good solid hour or more. The directions are easy to follow, step by step small book with a few pages. My son helped me and we made a nice team. It ended up better than I expected. I wheeled it into place and loaded op the drawers with our junk. Would definitely recommend if you are ok with timely complete item assembly.

I absolutely love this 5-drawer chest. I originally purchased one for my business and liked it so much that I bought a second one a couple of months later for my home office. Assembly is required, and I put the entire piece together myself. It took me a little time because this was my first furniture build, but I was extremely happy with the finished product. The drawers are fairly shallow, which actually works perfectly for the smaller items and office supplies I need to organize. They slide smoothly, and I really like having the wheels so I can easily move the chest when needed. The locking wheels are also a great feature because they keep it securely in place. Most importantly, it gives me the storage and organization I need without looking like ordinary office storage. It’s functional, attractive, and has held up well enough that I didn’t hesitate to purchase another one. I highly recommend this 5-drawer chest!

Excellent Cabinet, simple modern look and perfect for smaller spaces. I recently moved and have very limited space in my ADU studio apartment. Saw the 5 drawer cabinet on other sites for more money in gray or white color, but I wanted it in black, thankfully it was priced better and available in black on Amazon. It's actually REALLY EASY to assemble with just one person, but it is a little time consuming at about 2-3 hours and slightly heavy at about 50 lbs in particle board and hardware. Thankfully it arrived in almost perfect condition, just one small scuff on one of the back panels, easy touch up with a black marker. All panels and hardware fit flush and is very precise considering it's not high-end furniture. All parts, holes, and pieces aligned within 0-1/10" inch of tolerance or better, didn't have to pry, push, or bend anything to make it fit. I used a mixture of an electric drill and larger phillips head screwdriver than the one it comes with to make things easier and quicker. Just don't over-tighten anything and hand tighten to finish. Any problems assembling is most likely user error – align the screws straight, in the right place and don't over-tighten and everything should go well. I only had to re-install one drawer rail because I didn't pay attention for a moment, easy fix. Everything else went 100 percent perfect and it fits perfectly into my small space with a laser printer on top. I did add two extra holding clips to the backing board where the panel folds. I didn't bother with the tip-over wire as that will never be an issue. PROS – - EASY assembly with just one person, simple and modern look. - Everything aligns perfectly during assembly and as a finished product. - Simple picture manual, just follow the pictures in order and everything will come together okay. - Adjustable soft closing hinge on larger top door, simple to install with one person. - 5 easy glide drawers, not soft closing. - Black color is easy to touch with black marker if scuffed. - Good storage space and versatile for size. - Heavy enough tip-over is not likely unless you load the bottom drawers with heavy things. - Basic caster wheels for easy mobility, two locking, could put on nicer wheels if you wanted. - Comes with mini screwdriver and a few extra screws and wood dowels. - All part included (check the letters to the bags, I think the rails letter 'D' might have been renamed), no extra tools required, but an electric screwdriver helps with speed and hand fatigue. CONS – - Packed in MESSY styrofoam, the kind that falls apart easily and sticks to everything. I had to use a vacuum constantly while unpacking everything. Very few cities have the facilities to recycle foam, so into the trash it goes. - Heavy to move entire shipping box and finished product, fairly easy to tip over from side to side during assembly. Individual parts are fairly light and easy to work with. - Very little word instructions, mostly pictures, which I actually prefer, but some may not. - A little time consuming to assemble, but not terrible, goes pretty quick as some processes are repeated. - Black surface shows marks easily included hand prints, I used surface cleaner while assembling and it looks good as new. All in all, a good purchase, and a decent amount of bang for the buck.

I bought 2 of these despite swearing I would never buy self assembly furniture again, my main problem with them being if you buy it, assemble it and something is wrong, you then have to take the whole thing apart to ship back, so it's a good 2-4 hours work for nothing but these seem the perfect size for my needs so I bought them. the first one I put together fine, although it took nearly 3 hours to do. The 2nd one, I had the experience of putting the first together, so I probably could have done it in about an hour, hour and a half. But then the last drawer, the holes and the screws/ dowels on one part just didn't line up. Measuring the holes, etc it looks like the holes on one part would not line up with it's component. So I try calling but the company is closed. But from past experience (remember how I said I would never buy one of these again) that they'd just tell me to take the WHOLE darned thing apart and ship it back to them when all I needed was the replacement pieces for the one drawer. So I said "screw it" and drilled the holes myself according to how the fit should be (pictures attached) hoping that would work, but as you can see from the final picture, it didn't. That drawer just won't go in properly. I'm guessing because not just the holes but the screw insertion/ dowel insertion holes were also somewhat off. And frankly, getting the drawers on this one together was very techy work, I suspect I just ended up with a badly produced one. Which means I hit a 1 out of 2 ratio for getting a poorly made product from this company, so will NEVER buy anything they make again. I basically took a huge loss on putting these together because each one ended up taking over two hours when without the issues it should have taken one, and the 2nd unit the last drawer doesn't even fit. edit; literally minutes after the initial review, I figured out the problem (shown in the last (1st?) pictures; the front drawer part, the cut of the bottom of the shelf wood is supposed to slot into, was cut at an angle and not straight. So the holes are right, it's the angle means the bottom shelf "wood" doesn't fit in properly. I kinda forced it in so now the drawer closes neatly, but it's a total crapped up, unusable drawer now. if I could do 0 stars I would.

So happy with this purchase! It took about a hour to assemble and love the sizing of the drawers, so worth it!

Functionality, I would have given it 5 stars... But I got two of these bad boys... and putting them together was an awful experience. I put things together for a living... I work in a factory, but nothing could prepare me for how terribly low quality the hardware on this thing is. The cam lock screws are the worst I've ever used. I could never safely/completely tighten them without totally stripping the inner part of the screw. My screw drivers aren't low quality, this hardware should not be literally breaking under pressure.... I do not recommend loading these drawers down, and I'm lucky I got them just for makeup and jewelry storage. I couldn't imagine actually needing these for stacks of paper or art supplies (which can get pretty heavy, I'm an artist myself) because the cabinet would probably just tip over. If you're buying this thing expecting it to be "Mobile" just look somewhere else. I do not recommend putting the wheels on these things at all. I tried moving this after I got all my makeup and jewelry inside (which isn't a lot, honestly) and I had to double check if the wheels were locked (they weren't) that's how hard this thing is to move with items inside. It would honestly be more practical if it didn't have wheels on it. Why would I care whether or not it had wheels if I'm just going to have to remove everything from the inside of the drawers to even use the wheels? The first red flag for me should have been the suggestion listed on the instructions to "attach to wall" to prevent "furniture tipping".... when a company puts something like that in their instructions to save their as* you know it's a bad product. Why put wheels on something that has the possibility to tip over? Another red flag was how destroyed the boxes were when it got to my house. Dents all over the place. Luckily only one dent made it through to my actual furniture, which could have been completely avoided had they used thicker foam in the packaging. (As others mentioned, the foam is literally falling apart throughout the box, that's the level of quality we're talking about. Basement on the verge of landfill/garbage type) But considering how damaged the boxes were, I can't be too upset that only one small dent made it through out of two whole units. Another thing that kinda annoys me is the space in between the drawers. The spacing is uneven, which means some drawers hit one another when opening and closing. It's annoying, and very unsightly for someone with OCD like me. I do have to say, though, overall the sturdiness (when immobile) is pretty good. I could imagine it being even more so if I took off the wheels. But after 4 hours of stress over putting these two units together, I can safely say if I knew how much trouble these things were gonna cost me, I would have only bought one. Jesus murphy they were a pain in my you know what. I got a blister from my screw driver from all the screwing I did. (LOL!) But I'm sure that could have been avoided if I had asked for help from my husband as the instructions suggest. (2 person job) Overall I'm satisfied with the way they look and their functionality. My biggest suggestions would be higher quality hardware, no wheels, thicker packing foam and straight drawers. This thing is really a nice addition to my vanity room in progress. It could be better, but couldn't we all? LMAO

El instructivo está bien explicado y además ayudan mucho los dibujos para irlo armando. Al final queda muy bonito, solo en mi caso una pieza de una cajonera no traía las perforaciones de un lado, pero nada complicado de solucionar con un taladro y tomando medidas. No caben cosas demasiado grandes o voluminosas pero está práctico para guardar diferentes cosas

Montage hat gedauert, war aber gut erklärt - und das Produkt ist wirklich schön anzusehen und praktisch. Nur roch das Möbelstück eine Weile streng, und die Platten waren auch fleckig (fettig?) Nach Behandlung mit Möbelpolitur aber nun ein Schmuckstück.

I ordered 2 sets of these Drawers. Everything was easy to assemble. 1 set of of drawers had missing caster wheels. I sent a message to Devaise's Facebook page regarding the missing caster wheels. I got asked to circle ⭕ the caster wheels & take a photo from the manual that came in the box. They asked for my Amazon order number & address. Within 7 days I received the caster wheels direct from the Chinese supplier with TNT tracking number (FedEx package) 😁👍

Je suis ravie de cette commande. J'ai acheté 2 tours. Elles ont été très simples à monter, si tous les meubles pouvaient être aussi simples, ce serait bien! Toutes les pièces sont numérotées. Les trous sont bien faits, aux bons endroits. Ils sont très bien pensés. Les fonds de tiroirs et fond du meuble très bien maintenus. Les tiroirs coulissent parfaitement, se placent bien parallèles dans le meuble. J'ai passé cette commande le 31 Mai, livraison prévue entre le 1er juillet et le 4, je l'ai reçue le 5 juin! Je n'ai qu'un point négatif à soulever, une des planches d'un tiroir était abîmée, voir la photo. Mais cela n'a pas gêné au montage du meuble et n'a pas fragilisé la tenue du fond du tiroir et ça ne se voit absolument pas. J'avais enlevé une étoile au début pour ce défaut mais à la réflexion, le meuble n'en est pas affecté, donc je lui laisse 5*. Oh et un autre mini point négatif, il y a un autocollant sur le dessus du meuble et quand on l'enlève il laisse des traces de colle mais avec de l'acétone végétale, ça part sans abîmer la couleur du meuble. Je recommande vraiment l'achat de ses tours de tiroirs. Je partais avec un léger à priori car meubles en "compressé" mais franchement ils sont top. La simplicité du design fait qu'ils passent partout sans dénoter.
