FULI 100% Cotton Zippered Futon Cover, Shikibuton, Twin XL, Dark Gray

I listened to other reviewers and I got the twin size futon but ordered the twin XL cover. I’m glad I did because when I washed and dried it- it did get smaller but still fits a nice snug over the futon. Sooo easy to wash and dry. I did normal wash with a light 5 below brand comforter, baby blue Walmart pillow case, white futon cover and white fitted sheet to put over the cover (that one is incredibly soft). Throw all of them in a front loader washer on normal wash with some Lysol sanitizer detergent, fabric softener and just a dash of regular liquid ALL free and clear. Everything came out clean and no bleeding of colors. Tossed in the dryer on normal with some dryer balls- came out dry and ready to use. I will note that it does wrinkle and there are alot of wrinkles when used in the dryer but that is not a big deal breaker for me since I slip a fitted sheet over it. Also I keep it on futon and it folds with the futon without issues.

I ordered the XL TWIN size cover to go over my Futon of the same size from the same compay. The item arrived promptly and in excellent condition, NO creepy smells! I am a quilter so I adore good quality cotton fabric: this is made IN JAPAN of thick excellent quality breathable cotton. The very discreet zipper is sturdy and installed with care and skill. VERY Happy with this cover ~ super easy to put on over the futon (I have the futon by this same company) or to remove. Launders just fine ~ it is a bit oversized to account for the usual amount of cotton shrinkage, I prefer to line/hang dry rather than use the dryer. No pilling. The price is excellent ~ I could not buy this many yards of fabric for $50 (and that does not even take into account labor or the cost of the zipper!). Good VALUE. If you are using your Futon daily, you might consider buying two if you can, so you can easily swap then out on wash day. The color is a nice soothing camel color. I have no hesitation in recommending this high quality item.

As a back sleeper, this worked out quite well for me. A few things to note though: - If I lay on my side, the padding isn't quite enough, and I experience the hard floor quite a lot more - Was not immediately obvious to me, but various sheets and comforters are larger to compensate for a mattress being off the ground. It's generally not a problem though, since I just tuck the extra fabric behind the futon. - A me problem, but climbing up in the morning is a little hard if I have issues with my foot. Traditional bed is a lot easier to shift my legs over the ledge. - If you like to read in bed, you have to have some free wall space to lean pillows against. So far slept about 2 months on it, feels decent. We'll see how it goes in the long run.

I bought the navy color for my futon mattress, and got two extra later on. We wash them often, and they’ve been very durable over the past year. No problems. Would buy again, for sure.

This works. But getting it on and off the futon is a miserable experience for one person and a difficult experience for two people. I've been doing it for a year or so (twin size). I'd rather just use a queen size sheet and wrap it around my futon. Also, it gets stained really easily. Oil stains from my face oil? I don't know. But oil stains. And they don't come out in my wash (to be fair I don't really care and I haven't tried anything other than normal washing to get them out). But it does exactly what it says it will do. It zips over your futon.

I had been using this cover for about 2-3 months when the zipper broke. I reached out to the company, and they very kindly sent me another cover free of charge! I have a queen size futon, but got the king size cover to make it easier to take on and off to wash. It’s been working great so far, and I look forward to continuing to use it!

UPDATE: My white sheet got discolored after over a year of usage, and when ordering a replacement, I noticed it's way larger than it used to be. Returned thinking it was irregular and informed FULI customer service. Months later, decided to re-order assuming it was addressed by now, but no, still same oversized issue. This cover is LAUGHABLY larger than it should be. Customer service took my complain seriously and I really do admire and appreciate that. But I will be removing my 5-star review. Their reply is that they started making them larger than normal because customers were complaining of shrinkage. First of all, that is user error. It says DO NOT put in dryer. This is a terrible resolve. And I was so desperate to get mine to fit, that I put mine in the dryer and it's still comically ill-fitting. This make my entire setup spoiled: the mat & the mattress aesthetic is ruined because of this. Love this company, but no chance can I keep my 5-star review up. This is so disappointing. They did say they are taking my complaint seriously and are re-discussing with management and even the president iirc. FIX IT. ____ Looks incredible. And the best sleep I ever had. Prepare for all the U sLeEp On ThE fLoOr comments from people who don't have anywhere near as much copious style as you.

The instructions clearly say to line dry it, but I washed on warm and tumbled dry on medium and the queen-sized shikibuton also made by Ful stilli fits great inside. It was somewhat snug initially, curling the edges of the shikibuton immediately after washing but after sleeping on it there is no issue and the entire set lays flat. (I also have a conventional queen sized mattress protector over the shikibuton, so an extra layer and and the sheet still fits over everything neatly.) I’ll experiment with subsequent washes/drying to see if the sheet shrinks any further. The sheet itself is a nice crisp cotton and the full encasing of the shiki makes it so convenient to fold the entire set after use. Considering that typical queen sized decent sheet sets are usually more than $100, this is a fairly good price for the quality of 100% cotton and the convenient design.

We needed a cover for our futon mattress that was 100% cotton and not a busy print. This white cover was perfect and a nice quality. It's not super thick but feels sturdy and the zipper works with no issues. It's also still in good condition after washing it too. It's pricey for what it is but with not many other cotton options, we're happy that this one is available.

The fabric is very comfortable and fits on my twin size futon.

Very good quality, snug but perfect fit for my mattress - it feels too small when you're putting it on, but trust the process.

Essential purchase if you buy the FULI futon. Fits perfectly and very smooth.

Only problem is it's more blue than grey. Pairs with the FULI mattress perfectly.
