They are Orange when dry and turn Green when filled with humidity. When they go Green, it is time to recycle them. Put on a baking tray in oven on low and they go Orange when dry and ready to use again and again. This makes these an excellent value for money. The bottle, jug, makes it possible to pour the amount for the area to be kept dry. If a small 25kg or less, put these in a burlap bag. When using in a loft or other area with moisture, they can be placed in an open tray for best air exposure. The size makes it possible to get best value for money because get much greater quantity of the Orange gel pellets. Keep the black mould away by reducing or eliminating the Humidity. No moisture = mould can not grow.
Review: Worked extremely well! - Purchased these for my 3D printer as I noticed the humidity in the AMS was reading as wet. I was recommended these and gave them a go. Once setting it all up and pouring the beads into pods that fit into the AMS, waiting a day then checking, I noticed the humidity dropped from 50% down to 10% and the AMS now reads as dry, so these work extremely well. Not had a chance to recharge them yet, but I've prepared by printing a drying tray for when they need it. Brilliant product, will use again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If all the beads are dry, should they not all be orange? Why are most of them transparent in the picture? Do they arrive all orange or... ?**
A: Most of the beads are clear, just the orange ones go greenish-blue when they’re “wet”.  It is very evident when the beads need drying.

**Q: Can the beads be put in the oven to dry when they're in the mini bags provided (ones w the drawstrings)? Or do they need to come out of the bags first**
A: Yes they should come out the bag. There are clear instructions how to bake off the moisture. I use several baking trays and recharge the beads in the oven. Tip is to regularly open the oven to allow moisture out to speed up the drying process.

**Q: Can the beads be used loose on larger areas? We had a flood in a wine cellar where we don't wish to use heat.**
A: No. You would need such a huge quantity. They are intended to keep contents in containers dry, not whole rooms. For a damp basement you would most probably need a dehumidifier.

**Q: what sort of bags would i need to look for for this product? what're the drawstring bags provided called? thanks.**
A: We bought nylon pop socks and used those tied in a knot as the aesthetics weren’t important for the way we use them in our stock bags.  Basically the fabric needs to be breathable so the beads can absorb moisture.

I purchased this rechargeable desiccant tub for £17, and it's been a fantastic addition to my Bambu Lab AMS setup. The ability to recharge makes it much more convenient and cost-effective than disposable options. I even printed custom cases for the silica, and one 2LBS tub is more than sufficient for all of them, with plenty to spare. Pros: ✅ Rechargeable, eliminating the need for disposable desiccants ✅ Easy to see when the silica needs drying out ✅ Ample quantity; one tub covers multiple cases with extra left over ✅ Perfect for use with Bambu Lab AMS ✅ Arrived the next day with Prime delivery Cons: ❌ None that I've encountered Considering that similar products can be priced higher, the £17 I paid seems reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. Overall, a solid investment for anyone looking to maintain optimal conditions for their 3D printing materials.
