Sawyer Products SP564 Premium Insect Repellent with 20% Picaridin, Lotion, 4-Ounce

OMG Google Al told me about this product for my 2 week trip to Africa. Let me just say this was the best money spent. Not greasy. Not watery or thick. Literally like regular lotion no smell to it, which is good because you don’t have to worry about mosquitoes, but if you happen to spray a little perfume, you’re still protected I just lotion my whole body as regular lotion when I was on my vacation.

Ok, wow! Just WOW! I am impressed with this stuff. First of all, this time of year, I can't go outside for 2 minutes without coming inside with 10 mosquito bites and huge welts all over me. Most bug sprays smell awful, don't last long, and typically don't even work all that well. The container usually messes up and/or empties the product when you attempt to store it for any length of time. I just haven't had good luck with it. This has no scent and lasts for a long time. I like that this comes in a lotion formula, too. It's like sunscreen, you have to apply it shortly before going outside, but it is so worth it. Highly recommend!

Purchased for our trip to Alaska. Between pre-treating our clothes with Permethrin and applying this, we got not a single bite despite all the mosquitos and other insects that were flying around. Odorless, not sticky or unpleasant. Excellent product!

Bug spray or oil is usually pretty gross and unpleasant to have to wear. This lotion doesn't work as well as gasoline-reeking, 30% DEET that cost more and comes in smaller containers, but there are plenty of upsides. First, it doesn't make you smell like gasoline. Second, it doesn't leave an oily film on your skin. This actually"rubs in" and doesn't seem to interfere with SPF lotion. I'm not sure how long it remains effective, but it does reduce the instances of bugs buzzing around you. You won't be hiking through the jungle without a few bites here and there, but for bbqs, picnics, and hikes with people that you intend to be intimate with during the day, the lack of a strong smell and greasy feel is worth getting one or two bites rather than no bites with DEET but no action, or dozens of bites with no repellent at all. This stuff will irritate your eyes, nose, and mouth and that is clearly indicated on the packaging. Pay attention to those warnings. Aside from this product not being quite as effective as DEET, my only other issue is that the bottles tend to leak, so keep them wrapped in plastic before tossing them in a backpack.

This repellent lotion is great! I am extremely allergic to any histamines and have tried lots of brands. There is little to no smell, you don't have to use hardly any of it to work and it feels light and non greasy or sticky on your skin. I have not gotten bit from one mosquito since the delivery hit my door. Highly recommend.

We vacation on a small island. Obviously surrounded by water mosquitoes are very much a thing. Normally after a week I would go home with anywhere between 30 and 40 mosquitoe bites. After using this stuff for a week I came home with six. Goes on easy, doesn't feel gross, doesn't feel sticky. Doesn't smell funky. Great product.

The best on the market, I have tried many others but none are as good as this lotion, went down the Bow River in Canada with a ton of mosquitos and not one bite and the fact that you don’t have to breath bug spray or smell like one is awesome, it’s like putting on body lotion, absorbs quickly, no oily feeling and doesn’t dry your skin.

I applied this Picaridin lotion generously on my exposed arms, neck and ears. This kept the mosquitoes away. I live in west Texas and we get mosquitoes in the summer. I am very healthy and full of verve and vitality, and don't smoke, drink or do drugs. I did, however, notice that I feel drowsy all day when I apply this lotion to my skin. Either the Picaridin or one or more of the 80% "other ingredients" is affecting me this way. I stopped using it and the drowsiness went away. I later did some online research and learned that some ingredients can affect or disrupt the human nervous system. If using this product did not make me drowsy, I would give it five stars.

For the price you pay bottle is very small, maybe less than 100mls. It was delivered half open and product all over the bottle. So not only do I have a small bottle, I have a half empty small bottle.
