Awsome camera!
This camera was just awsome. I LOVE the panoramic function it has. Its takes very nice panoramic pictures and 99% of them came out with no overlapping or shadows. Dont know how they do it but they certainly did it well on this one. Pictures quality was very good. I actually have a Cannon DLSR and pictures were "comparable" to human eye if you just expected them to be use for normal picture frame (no design or photograpy quality). Advance or manual mode on it had what I needed for certain situations. The auto scene mode seems to work very well also since all my pictures came up perfect. I seemed to find it balanced in terms of picture quality, ease of use and appealing to advance users. For this price, It is a great buy.

Not happy at all with this camera!
I have had this camera for nearly a year now and am not happy at all. When I purchased it I went on the reviews, back then, they were all basically good. If I knew what I know now, I would never have purchased this camera. I can take 4 pictures on auto setting in a row and only 1 will come out decent. How can that even happen? Nothing changed? The shutter speed is horrible. There is a long lag time between shots. Gee maybe that is why they come out blurry, natural lighting has changed in the minutes it has taken to take the 4 pictures! I have pets, I cannot take pictures of them even with the Pet setting. I love to take pictures of fireworks, you can forget that with this camera. If you do not have the perfect lighting, you will not get a decent picture. There are times that it takes a while for the lens to even come out when I go into zoom mode, almost as if the camera isn't recognizing it what it has to do. I have never experienced this with any other camera I have owned, and I have owned many in my (many) years of taking pictures (how many can say they remember the brownie camera lol). I cannot recommend this camera to anyone but a child learning to shoot . It's not worth the money. It has gone down in price drastically since I purchased and I can see why. This is a disgrace to the Sony name! Sony has much cheaper camera's that take better pictures than this one. My daughter will be getting married in May. I am currently looking for a camera that I know I can rely on, not one that takes 1 out of 4 pictures that come out clear.

Good but incomplete
Came used with a few scratches but in great condition over all. Brought no instructions manual, no memory card, and no USB cable which seems completly unfair based on the prize and no specifications about that.

nice camera for normal people
I bought this camera for a trip to Korea, because I couldn't find my old one. I'm super happy with this purchase! I took it to a Norah Jones concert in Central park yesterday, and got amazing shots from near the back (and video too). I have shaky hands which leads to blurry pics, but not with this camera. The stability function is great. I was taking great shots at full, digital, zoom with one hand above my head. I've also gotten some of the best shots of my dog. The resolution is so good (even zooming across the room) that you can even see her whiskers. The timing between pressing the button and the picture capture is quite fast, and something that was lacking in my old Fuji FinePix. People who are super into photography might be let down, but then what do they really want in a point and shoot?

16.1 mega-poor quality
The camera takes ok pictures when the conditions are optimal. Even when trying to adjust manually the settings, performance still suffers. The shutter is very slow, too slow for practical use. The LCD display is of poor quality. Feels cheaply made. Zoom noise is loud when shooting video. Video quality grainy. This camera would be a good starter camera for a 5 year old child. Sony really went cheap on the manufacturing of this camera. I thought I was buying a quality Sony product but ended up with a generic Sanyo instead.

Nice little camera...........
Received camera today and am very pleased with the looks of it. One thing---it does not come with a SD card. Set up is easy and screen is great. Haven't taken any pics yet but expect it to be very good. My son has one and he loves it.

Owner's Manual-unable to print
I had a canon powershot A720IS which took great pictures and was pocket-sized. I wanted to upgrade the optical power from 6X to 10X or higher and have gone through several cameras that had poor picture quality. This camera took OK pictures but not as good as the powershot I had. The deal breaker was that the owner's manual was only in html format and not pdf so it could not be downloaded in its entirety-only 1 page at a time! The customer should have the option of downloading it if one so desires. The shorter instruction manual that now comes with all the cameras does not answer all your questions.

Nice Compact Ultra-Zoom Point and Shoot Camera
The camera takes adequate-quality photos for this price range. The main feature is its ability to zoom 10x optically albeit at the cost of extra depth dimension. Still, it is a convenient, ready to go camera that suits my life-style very well. I was spoiled by the convenience of my old Sony H-1 ultra zoom because it was nice to use 2 AA batteries that are always available. This camera has Li Ion cells and the self discharge rate is pretty small, so it has been ready to go so far and I've not been stymied by wanting to get a shot and having to wait for a battery charge. For the money a good buy IMO.
