Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Coconut Curling Cream 12 oz.

I’ll admit I had low expectations for this cream because my hair is long and pretty much unmanageable. I have naturally wavy, dry hair. It looks fabulous with product in it or when I dry it straight and then use my Chi. But both processes suck so much and take so much time that I only wash my hair maybe twice a week. It’s in a cute messy bun the rest of the week. HOWEVER, I STILL need product to make my messy bun cute with curls. And by product, I mean leave in conditioner, beach hair curling spray, mouse and hairspray. Then I scruncy it for a short time to get actual curls before I do anything else with it. It is seriously THAT much of a freaking pain. And of course it is ALWAYS crunchy when I wear it curly.But this cream just eliminated every one of those products AND the dreaded crunchy crap from my routine.My hair has NEVER felt or looked this naturally curly. Not ever!! No crunch. Just fabulous hair.Wash your hair, towel dry it and apply all over. Once it’s applied evenly, scrunch with your hands a bit and let it air dry. You’ll love it!!

Nice balance of conditioning and soft "hold" for natural curls. If I use just the leave-in conditioner on my young daughter's hair, the pretty curls frizz out and get less defined pretty quickly... if her hair is down, that means tangles by the end of the day or mats by the next morning. If we use the curling cream, either on its own or after the leave-in if her hair seems especially dry, she gets a nice all-day natural curl (little ringlets), and the next morning I can run wet fingers through her hair and she's ready to go again. Better yet, if I add a small dab (half teaspoon) of Cantu twist & lock get, rubbing it between my hands and then running it lightly through her hair, she can wear it down for 2-3 days with minimal fuss, frizz, or tangling. She (and her friends!) love the light coconut scent.

Great product, works good. Looks like coconut paste, really softens hair. The only draw back is the very, very strong smell. The smell is like a strong coconut candy. Even after half an hour the smell is still strong making me self conscious. It will be a perfect product if it had no smell or low smell. The price is very reasonable for the large quantity received.

This product is fantastic. I am still in the process of regrowth and strengthening my very negroid hair following a period of stress that had me panicking that I was going bald. Cantu needs to do more aggressive marketing of this product as there are so many people with natural hair and more getting the message that kinky hair is okay after all. Besides all those chemicals just aren't good for you and who knows what controls there might not be over that industry. I had to hear of the Cantu treatment via my daughter who had heard it from a friend - i.e. "word of mouth". Whilst that might be the best advertisement hence my determination to give feedback by the time I heard of the product my hair was/is already seriously damaged. Because of my particular hair damage I went ahead and bought the Cantu line which includes the leave in repair conditioner and the daily grow strong strengthener as well as the shampoo and conditioner. You don't have to as my daughter only got the curling cream together with the shampoo and conditioner. I am absolutely delighted with the results in stopping my hair loss aside from the bonus of leaving the hair soft, manageable and smelling great!

Awesome hair product. My hair looks shiny, but not greasy and it really controls my frizz without making my hair feel like there is tons of product in it. You only need a little. I've had mine for a few weeks now and it looks like I haven't even touched it because of how little you have to use.I have very long (belly button length), thick, blonde, curly hair. Because my hair is so curly, I basically gave up on using products, but this coconut cream is a game changer.It also smells fantastic and makes me feel like I'm on a tropical vacation. Perfect for busy women who just want to do something quick with their hair in the morning. Put it on when your hair is almost dry, but still a little damp, and then just finger your curls. It's awesome!

It is an amazing product, it left my hair feeling amazing BUT it caused me to breakout!! One of it’s first ingredients is canola oil. If you have acne prone skin be careful with that, especially if you have shorter hair that is in contact with your face.

I have 3A thin hair, medium length. I found this product about 2 years ago and keep returning to it. After washing my hair, I scoop a small amount of cream from the jar and dilute with tap water and coat my hands. Then I flip my hair over and apply the product from roots to ends. I scrunch my hair while drying lightly with a diffuser. GREAT curls!!! The up-side for me is I can quickly refresh the look on dry hair the next couple of days by flipping my hair over and spritzing water from a bottle from roots to ends. Scrunch ... fluff ... good to go. The only down side I have found is during humid weather my hair will frizz a bit so I have a different product I use during the rainy season.

To Everyone with curly unmanageable hair, here is a miracle hair product that will change your life. I spent most of my life trying to find the right stuff and many years (and $$$) being the guinea pig for curls defining products. The picture below is after one application Best thing it’s cheap. Smells very coconuty, doesn’t contain sulfates or silicones, leaves your hair soft, defines your curls and adds volume. No more burning my hair with the flat iron!! I will start loving my hair after 37 years!
