Really Does Work, INCREDIBLE!
Where do I start? Well my furniture is 17 years old, High end leather, but to be honest, like so many of us, I wasn't one to do reg cleaning and maintenance on it after it got older. The arm rests especially, and the seat cushions had really taken a beating. The leather was rough and starting to show signs of cracking and the leather itself had faded. It looked hideous to me and always covered the cushions with a blanket. My plan was to just buy new furniture as I thought there was no hope in refurbishing the leather or color. Well let me tell you, I came across this product on Amazon, and I thought, what the heck, the reviews looked great, so I thought I would try it. I wish I would have taken photos of before and after, because it HONESTLY looks like the before and after on the label!.. Following the instructions, I cleaned the leather with the Furniture Clinic cleaner, then followed with the Furniture Clinic Conditioner. I used the cleaner on the soiled areas, the arm rests and the cushions, but condtioned the entire seating area. ( the rest of the loveseat leather was still like new as far as suppleness). I then applied the Re-Coloring Balm and OMG, what a transformation. I started on the arm rests, cushions and attached back pillows. I HONESTLY couldn't believe how it worked!.. The areas that had the worst wear and damage, sucked up the product, This didn't scare me as I really didn't have anything to lose if it ended up looking like crap lol. Directions say to let dry for 5 mins and buff... I kept reapplying to the arm rests and seat cushions and each time I reapplied, I could feel the difference in the leather..The rough texture started to disappear and the dark wear look in those areas disappeared!. I left it sit overnite. I woke up this morning and could not believe the difference in the way the loveseat looks and feels!.. The leather is about 90% MORE supple and visibly, it looks incredible!..My husband got up this morning and could not believe the transformation. He said it looked almost new!. I plan on applying the conditioner to the arms and cushions one more time before lightly buffing, and will continue to conditon every other day to really soften up those areas. I can't stress enough how bad of shape this loveseat was in before and what a transformation this product has made so far!.. The leather is no longer "scratchy and dry looking".. I will see how this holds up and update this post. JUST a couple of things to note:, The Directions on the coloring do not really say how to apply, so at first I started applying with a cloth, but the cloth absorbs too much of the product, so I used my fingertips and it slid on effortlessly and didn't need much product at all. You can use rubber gloves but I didn't, and the color washed right off with soap and water. Yes, rub it in a circular motion and in the areas that are bad, use the wax on wax off motion lol. I used about a half of a jar on the loveseat, so if applied with fingers, it will go a long way! I believe what this product is, is a Tinted conditioner, which makes sense, and a good one. The molecules are obviously small enough to penetrate the leather, so that the tint and the condtioner is absorbed completely. ( that is the MOST important part). I just wish I would have taken before and after photos! I AM ordering more to have on hand for future use! UPDATE: It's been 2 weeks now and my one and only application. Color still looks great, no scratches thru the color even with the dogs jumping up on the loveseat. Color has NOT rubbed off onto anything.!! After reading alot of negative reviews, I have come to the conclusion that those people have applied the product to something OTHER than REAL leather!. DO THE ABSORBTION TEST BEFORE PURCHASING!. REAL LEATHER WILL absorb the water drop instantly!. anything other than leather will NOT. Those people who have used it on something other than REAL leather, may have a bit of color stain ONTOP of their fabric, but it will NOT absorb. THIS IS WHY it WILL rub off or fade early on.!

GREAT Product! (West Elm Couch and Chair UV Damage)
Really appreciated this product! My West Elm Couch and Chair had extreme fading from the sun (corner unit, floor to ceiling windows). It went on super easy, not hard to use. Some places required 3-4 coats where there was the most sun damage. Dried quickly. I couldn’t believe how close of a match it was. Only note is 1.) you will see some application marks (this was fine for my furniture and blended in and something probably only I’ll notice and 2.) there were some areas of the furniture that took really well (pillows and cushions) and some that took more coats or even resisted a little (I’m guessing different types of leather used in different parts of the couch or different finishings). I’m super hopeful that it will last (that’s the only thing outstanding-how long will it last), but overall really recommend and would use again!

Pretty good stuff for $30 but had to mix two colors
I have a pair of beautiful leather sling chairs that are only 3 years old but crazy faded from the sun in that short time. I got a quote of $800 to restore the color and was told they could only get about 70% color back. For that high price i decided to give recoloring them a try myself and selected this brand based on the reviews. It was pretty easy to use but overall the color is a bit splotchy after applying several coats with the sponge to the absorbent leather. I also had to mix 2 colors (tan and medium brown) to get close the original cognac tan leather. It was a good match but definitely a bit darker than the original leather. Fyi the tan is very reddish in color, im not sure i would call it tan. The medium brown is probably an accurate description. After applying and letting it soak in, on the first chair i buffed it then applied the leather lotion they market with it, however this ended up REMOVING a ton of the coloring I just worked so hard to put on. I buffed again, added more of the color cream only, and buffed again with a towel then a fine dust cloth. The second chair i only used the color cream and buffed. So i recommend saving your money and skipping the leather lotion or at best do a test spot. While its not 100% like brand new and a little splotchy, its a HUGE improvement and im very satisfied for the price. I still have a little more than half of each har left over so i can touch up in a few years if needed. Overall i recommend but def test the products first in an area you wont see.

BEST PRODUCT FOR GENUINE LEATHER EVER!
My husband and I have been together for almost 20 years. Since the day we met, he had a genuine leather coat that he absolutely loves. He still has that coat to this day and is taken Immaculate care of it to the point where the only damage it really had was the regular wear and tear on the front end so there was some discoloration but no tears on the coat or anywhere whatsoever. The discoloration was really bothering him to the point where he was afraid he was going to have to get rid of his coat forever and buy a new one but he genuinely loved the classic style of his original coat and with the way styles are constantly changing, there really is not another coat out there that looks like it that much. I found it hard to believe that we would have to buy a new coat just because of his discoloration issue. I did some research between conditioner and coloring for genuine leather. I first tried just a plain conditioner thinking that maybe that might be the cure-all and resolve the problem. Unfortunately to my disappointment, the discoloration was too much so just a regular conditioner for leather alone could not do the trick. After reading the reviews of this product and the fact that it had so many different colors to choose from that I could match to the closest to his coat, I knew I had to give this a try. I just finished the job on his coat, and I am amazed and my husband is ecstatic! Not only did it buff up his genuine leather coat beautifully, it also took care of the discoloration and the color match perfectly to his coat! Not only that, the dye was incredibly easy to clean off that I had gotten on my hands and the sponge that I used that I also purchased on Amazon that you used to dye leather with and buff leather with, that also cleaned off extremely easily as well. I did have to use a little bit more of a generous portion on the 2 front Columns of the coat where the discoloration was predominant on the front but even after doing the full coat, you can barely tell that I even touched the bottle so I have a generous amount still left. So if I get any other leather items that need to be buffed up, I can definitely use this for the next time his coat needs a touch up. Take it from my experience, if you have a genuine leather coat or a genuine leather product of some sort, I don't think just a plain leather conditioner will do it alone for you. I think your best bet is to take a chance on this leather balm dye it is amazing! I am in love with this product and I'm even more happy with the fact that my husband is over the moon! Thanks for this product, I think it gave his coat another 20 years more of life and I must say, I am very fond of the coat myself because he looks very good in it!

Don't use this product on anything that will potentially touch clothing!
Just for clarity, purchasing from amazon has been a weekly event for me over the last 7 years. I have had good products and I have had really bad products. I have never been motivated to write a good or bad product review until now...I'm Not happy! I bought this product with high hopes. I watched all the videos and was quite impressed. I tested for absorption as described and my leather was very absorbent. My wife and I were really excited about how our sectional couch looked after we were done, it was impressive! We even sent out pictures to family because we were so excited. Then we started buffing, and buffing and buffing even more. After a full day of buffing, brown product still continued to rubbed off on our clothes. I wasn't too upset yet, just mildly discouraged. I thought getting the leather protection cream might help...I was wrong again. Contacting Furniture Clinic was the only next logical step to see if there was anything that could be done to salvage our sofa and our hard work. I was informed that the leather sealer is not an option and told that my leather was obviously NON-absorbent. They requested I send photos and this was there response, "In viewing your photos it appears you have a sheen on your before and your after photos which will only occur on a leather type that has a finish on it and makes the leather non-absorbent." As explained above, the leather was very absorbent. They continued with my options, "...your alternatives for color to stop coming off are as follows: Continue to buff off until product no longer comes off, this can take several days and has been successful with others that have used our Leather Re-Coloring Balm on their non-absorbent type leather. Or you can use our Leather Colorant Kit (click here) which is for renovating non-absorbent type leathers and is not just a standard dye but an actual process in which you first remove the manufactures finish with the leather prep so this allows the colorants to adhere to the leather giving a sound base covering. Our Leather Colorant Kit will give you everything you need to prepare, recolor, and refinish your leather including all accessories. With regards to the size of our Leather Colorant Kit that you would need, the different sizes would cover the following areas: - $79.95 Small Kit will restore up to the size of a single car seat. - $119.95 Medium Kit will restore up to the size of a large armchair. - $159.95 Large Kit will restore up to a large 3 seat sofa. - $189.95 Extra Large Kit will restore a full three-piece sofa set. You can choose from our Standard Color Chart (click here), or you can send us a sample of your leather about the size of a nickel for an exact color match for an additional $14.95. This charge is waved with Extra Large Kit. Please Note: Our Kits are designed to save our customers money and are already reduced substantially and unfortunately we cannot offer further discounts on any of our Kits." I have included before and after pictures which seem impressive, however, I have also included what my clothes look like after the buffing process! Maybe you will have better luck than I but I would not chance it.

Not quite for me.
My first reaction to this was omg, that’s amazing. I have a dark brown leather couch. I condition it three times a year with leather conditioner but the cushions were fading. I put this on and it really brought it back to life, but five days later the color is still coming off. I used an old white tee shirt and the first couple of times when I buffed it, all kind of brown is on the Tee. Today about six days later I buffed again with white Tee and there is still traces of brown, but much weaker. It bothers me that is someone sits on it with light colored pants they will get them tinted. A real shame really.because as I said my first reaction was very positive. Too bad.

Restored My Sentimental White Leather Sofa Beautifully
This product truly helped restore my white leather sofa, and I’m so grateful I found it. The couch has a lot of sentimental value to me — it belonged to my mom who has passed away — and I love having a piece of her in my home. She took incredible care of this beautiful Roche Bobois sofa, so when my cats scratched it during the very first week I had it, I felt absolutely terrible. After doing a lot of research, I decided to try this recoloring balm, and I was honestly amazed by the results. It completely covered the scratches to the point where they’re now basically unnoticeable. The finish looks very natural and blends beautifully with the leather instead of looking painted or obvious. I would say it works best on lighter scratches and surface damage rather than deep splits or severe tears, but for restoring faded or scratched areas it did an excellent job. The sofa looks refreshed, restored, and much closer to how it originally looked, which means a lot to me personally. I’m extremely pleased with the results and would absolutely recommend this product for anyone trying to revive worn or scratched leather furniture.

I'm amazed
In retrospect I probably should have gone with medium brown, but I was concerned about how well it would cover. I needn't have worried. I'm amazed at how well this turned out. I only just finished so I can say nothing yet about durability, but it looks fantastic!

Disappointing
They say that one 250ml tub is enough to cover a three-piece suite. It barely covered two couches, left a streaky finish and is now not colourfast.
