ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED
The item arrived and the box was in good condition, it was securely packaged too inside the box but looked like mainly soil from the top in the plastic casing. When I opened the plastic outer casing what I found was soaking wet, dripping soil. The plant wasn't in the top it looked like someone had dropped the plant on the floor and scooped it back into the pot, as most of it was buried under the soil and the plant itself was damaged - with many of the 'stalks' with the lobes on the end not actually attached to any root or anything - so not much to be salvaged. Judging by the packaging I'm not sure that this could have happened during the transportation, I'm thinking that maybe it left the seller in this condition. The plant itself was also not 'giant' it was tiny and nothing close to the images. The lobes were all closed on the little plant that was remaining and have remained this way. I did message the seller originally to try and resolve the issue with a replacement or refund but there has been no response after 4 days and this was supposed to be a gift for valentines so now will not make it in time. It definately does not pass as a gift. Waste of money and a rip off, was very disappointed upon opening.

Well it is still alive
I have always been fascinated by these plants, however know very little about caring for them. All I can say at the moment is that the plant is still alive. When I read up about them, it said that the plant would be in a dormant phase throughout the winter months, so other than the ocassional spray of water, I left it alone near the window. However when I look, it appears to be spurting long upward tendrils; is it telling me something? No fly around at the moment, sorry. The flycatching buds appear to have disappeared, perhaps under the compost, but I haven't dared to put my finger near it, just in case! My grandchildren were fascinated when I got it, and now keep asking me where the fly trapping jaws have gone; so I am hoping when the sun finally comes out, and fly are in abundance, it will resume its original look. It did arrive looking very healthy; but not as good now, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Very good plant!
Plenty of traps, only a couple black - this is expected at this time of the season, so the plant itself 5 star. However even though the plant itself was very well packaged and protected the courier managed to deliver the box half crushed and upside down - no deduction in stars made for this since it was not considered to affect the plant or to be the fault of the supplier.

Poor quality plant.
Poor quality plant, I have given it a week to recover from the journey but it still doesn’t look any better. There were a lot of dead parts on this plant. The fly catching parts were black and fell off. Of the few bits left it is ok. I am caring for it as per the limited instructions. Hopefully with a bit of love and care it will do the job I bought it for, namely dealing with flies in my kitchen. I was going to buy two. I’m glad I didn’t. Wouldn’t buy from this supplier again..

Excellent.......
Very healthy looking plant with plenty of traps on it. It's so well grown it already fills the pot it shipped in and will need transplanting almost immediately. Very well packaged inside a plastic 'bottle' so arrived undamaged.
