I was looking for a more traditional "softer" and lighter synthetic-like webbing type material, but most everything has plastic buckles; which make the product more versatile but IMO add a weak point. This strap has no plastic pieces. It seems very solidly built. It is a little heavier than the synthetic version and while there is some padding, it's not as soft on the shoulder as some synthetic versions. But this is still comfortable enough AND I don't have to worry about my camera falling to the ground if a plastic buckle breaks.It looks really nice and has nice stitching. It has camera body protectors at the connection point to prevent scratches on your camera.
