Arrived promptly. Exactly as described. Using the ear defenders for shooting game. Gives excellent amplification of distant and quiet sounds such as bird calls in flight or taking flight. The stereo mics give a good orientation of sound direction. Shotgun blast (e.g 12 bore) is attenuated to a clear thud. As are any nearby loud sounds . Carry case is compact and robust. Ear pads fit snugly without undue pressure. Earphones are easy to put on and adjust, fitting over a cap ( hat). Really good value for money.

Bought these after starting at a rifle club. Used for the first time today. For the price these exceeded my expectations. They worked brilliantly with noise of the .22LR rifles being used. With the electronics making it easy to hear everything being said around me. I did note that that they amplify higher frequencies more than lower frequencies which works well when used for shooting, but does make some sounds (like clicking sounds when loading the rifle) louder compared to the ambient sound than would experience without them. They were comfortable for the time I used them. Was pleased to see that they were supplied with good quality batteries meaning they could be used immediately.

Really good item. We have had expensive Bisley ear defenders all of which failed in one ear piece and these awesafe one's have far better sound quality. They are also a far cheaper in price. Very happy and seller sent item quickly and efficiently.

I've had these Awesafe electronic ear protection earmuffs for well over eight months now. I've used them on every outing to the gun range for use with a rimfire rifle (.22LR - about 2 times a month), and used it a couple of times with a centerfire rifle (.308WIN). It does the job... at a good price point. I bought the black version that came with the case, which fits well in my range bag with extra batteries (came with a battery case included for extra batteries) and other bits and pieces for the ear protection. Nice case. Fit, build and finish are all the same as a Howard Leight, just a bit thicker than the latter. No issues with the ear protection with the cheek rest of my rifle buttstock, or any other rifle buttstock I've tried it with. Noise cancellation is on par with the Howard Leight and the Walker's Razor (good but not as good as 3M Peltor, but then these cost much more), as is the noise volume level when listening directly to voices or other sounds with the noise cancellation. You do have to listen in the direction of the sound for these to work well, so no 360 degree listening. It has a clicking sound on the on-off knob that is also the volume control, which the Howard Leight does not have as a feature. You know for sure that you turned it off when you hear the clicking sound. The aftermarket comfort gel ear pieces for Howard Leight should fit Awesafe electronic ear protection, should you wish added comfort. The standard factory ones are fine and comfortable. So far, so good... I recommend it as a really good budget electronic ear protection alternative to both Howard Leight and the Walker's Razor. Plus, it comes with a carry case and an extra battery case. I do wish they were thinner and a bit lighter, and I wish that the noise cancellation was better (like the 3M Peltor). I also wish that they had cool add-ons like the Walker's Razor (i.e. two-way radio clip-on). In any case... they are good value for money. A good solid four out of five stars. I'll up date this review as time goes by with use. *** Almost 2 Year Update (19 May 2024) *** I've had these electronic ear defenders now for almost two years with heavy usage at the range and shooting competitions. They have held up so far with few issues, if any really beyond one. I have to keep the ear defenders away from the mobile phone/device I use with my shooting ballistic application as the mobile signal generates noise interference with the ear defenders. I've had to resort to using a mobile phone/device without the SIM and rely solely on data from a shooting weather meter via Bluetooth to feed the ballistic application instead of 4G/5G mobile data connection (due to the noise interference). After a year and a half of usage, the ear defenders have started to eat through batteries. I find that I have to change out the batteries every two or so weeks, as the batteries are being drained by the ear defenders even when not in use. This is probably my biggest issue I have with the ear defenders with long term use. I may have to switch to rechargeable batteries to deal with this issue rather than buying batteries in bulk. It's hungry for batteries! I still wished the design was thinner, like the Howard Leight Impact ear defenders... as these are a little bulky and require adjustments often when trying to get a good position purchase on the adjustable cheek risers of my rifles. It's not a big issue, but rather an annoyance. Almost two years later and these electronic ear defenders are a good value for the money... and a long term 3-1/2 (three and a half) stars, down from 4 (four) stars due to hunger for batteries. Seriously, it eats batteries often even when not in use. I may need to purchase a pair soon. Stay turned for a further update in time.

Recently I've had clay pigeon shooting tuition and trying to hear the lesson with earplugs in was awful, so I bought these. The ear defenders definitely reduce sound when worn switched off, switched on, hearing normal conversation is easy, but the loud cracks from the guns are obviously reduced. It is best to use the volume as low as you can while being able to hear, because like all amplifiers there is background hiss that only really becomes noticeable at high volume. I'm glad I bought them.

It’s the first time I have used this type of ear defender. I was pleasantly surprised. It amplifies the sounds around you to such a level, I could easily hear a couple of the guns talking on the next peg which, without the ear defenders, I couldn’t hear before. They kept my ears warm and are very comfortable to wear. They tackle their primary role very well. I was, at first, expecting the sound of the shotgun to be almost completed muffled but this was not the case. You can hear the shot very clearly but not at all deafening. Almost as if it was a shotgun fired from some 100 feet away. As the sound waves hit the ear defenders it instantly turns down the volume, which is only noticeable as the regular volume returns after the shot. On a still day these work perfectly but on a windy day you will need to turn the volume down, otherwise you will get a lot of wind noise as it passes over the microphones. But even with the volume turned down, surrounding sound can still be heard. For the price, they are a bargain. More expensive ear defenders may do a better job but at this price you can’t grumble. And most of the time you are only paying for the brand name.

They just work! Awesome for the range and especially handy when taking a class and need to listen to instructions while at the range!

Great product. I have not heard of this brand before but I loved the look and took a chance on them. Couldn’t be happier with them. Have taken them to the range 4 times and they worked perfectly. Comfortable. Love the camo pattern. Much better value than some of the bigger brands. I had a big bulky pair of caldwells before, these are much slimmer, work better and look way better.

Good performance and price

Die Ohrschützer sind gut im Case verstaut. Es liegt extra eine Beschreibung dabei, wie man sie auseinander nimmt und wieder im case verstauen soll. Was dann auch ohne Probleme funktioniert. Sie sitzen wenn man sie vernünftig einstellt sehr gut auf den Ohren , sie drücken nicht und man kann sie längere Zeit tragen ohne das Gefühl zu haben das sie einen den Kopf drücken. Habe da schon andere bei der Arbeit getragen bei denen hatte man nach einer halben Stunde das Gefühl der Kopf wird gequetscht. Zur Technik , wenn man die Kopfhörer aktiviert, kann man schön die Umgebung wahrnehmen. Gespräche werden sogar lauter wahrgenommen bei maximaler Lautstärke als sie sind . Sobald ein lautes Geräusch kommt z.B. Beim Schuss, schaltet sofort der Verstärker weg und man bekommt nur ein gedämpftes Geräusch mit . Das funktioniert sehr gut . Das einzige was etwas stören könnte , wenn man empfindlich ist es gibt ein Hintergrund Rauschen . Ich denke das kommt von den Mikrofonen im Ohrschützer . Wer einen alten Kassettenrecorder hatte, mit Aufnahme Funktion weiß was ich meine. Ist aber nur wahrzunehmen wenn es leise ist und keiner redet. Mich stört es nicht und für den Preis kann man drüber weg sehen. Alles im allem der kopfhörer macht was er soll und für den Preis kann man ihn nur empfehlen.

I love these. The color is so cute and the sound quality is great. I had a pair like these before and they got stolen but I like these much better.
