Delicate flavor, finely milled
The taste is wonderfully delicate. Rice, but faintly earthy, with very slight hints of fresh green. It doesn’t have that chalky, dusty taste common to pea protein powder. Nor does it have that sour note common to soy protein isolates. Excellent for soups, sauces, mains, baking, desserts, and especially hot coffee/tea. Makes a lovely coffee/tea creamer. (Fewer calories, more protein, richer texture than collagen creamer) I also like it in crustless quiche and homemade seitan chikn. This was my first time buying a terrasoul product. Never heard of them. The quality is surprisingly superior to the well-known vegan brand of sprouted protein powder. The terrasoul brand is finely milled. It’s airy. That’s significantly important to achieving a clump-free homogeneous mixture using only a spoon. Smooth, non-gritty mouth feel. No sediment layer sunk to the bottom of the cup (I’m looking directly at you, Hemp powder!) Some people love using blenders, mixers, jackhammers, and shakers. They want a powder that demands effort. Some of us need a quiet cup of coffee that isn’t greedy for attention first thing in the morning. I’m not trying to roleplay a lumberyard sim in my own kitchen predawn. When a company takes care with the milling process, the powder incorporates easily- no muss, no fuss, no heavy machinery. I appreciate the heck outta that. The package is tough and ships fully sealed. No leakage issues. Sometimes those big plastic protein powder barrels get cracked in transit and explode all over. This package is a washable/reusable zip bag that is durable enough to be reincarnated as an excellent freezer bag.

Economical and tastes ok.
Alright, it doesn't taste fabulous, but if you mix it with fruit and a sweetener (I use stevia powder) in a blender it's just fine. The price is excellent though, which is my main concern, since I'm not willing to spend a dollar or more per serving for a high end protein powder. My only concern is that it (and supposedly all other brown rice powder) comes from China, where the organic standards often are not met, despite the USDA Organic label. Peter Whoriskey had an article a couple of years back, "The labels said ‘organic.’ But these massive imports of corn and soybeans weren’t" (Washington Post). Although the article did not discuss brown rice, it did discuss crops being grown organically in China which were nonetheless contaminated with pesticides by the polluted water supply used by the growers. So we really can't know if anything from China is really organic or not.

It's helped my hair and nails grow fast and thick.
This is wonderful. I mix this with Sprout Living Organic Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder so it becomes a complete protein. I don't want to purchase a protein powder with sugar or sugar substitutes. These 2 mixed create a wonderful complete protein powder. Taste is a bit chalky but honestly I'm not taking it for the taste. I need more protein so this works for me. It's helped my hair and nails grow fast and thick.

Made in China
Most of my family members play sports and workout. We are always on the hunt for clean and healthy way to add more protein to our diet. I personally need to incorporate much more protein because it is hard for me to eat big meals (I am a glazer). This product caught my eye when I was skimming through protein powders. Due to a mistake with the postal service, it arrived two days late. The packaging was crumpled, but the content was perfectly fine. I tried adding it to my green smoothie this morning, and it doesn't have any weird flavor. it's pretty easy to drink no matter what smoothie you add it to. I used Vitamix to blend and had no problems with it not dissolving either. Many flavored protein powders on the market contain artificial sweeteners or sweeteners that are not approved in Europe, so I often use pure protein powders made from one ingredient. Adding bananas to my smoothie provides enough sweetness and I try to use products made from one ingredient to diversify my protein sources. Most vegan protein powders sold on the market are made from pea, but pea contains too much iron which is not suitable for my family who consumes a lot of beans and spirulina (they are both high in iron). That is why this product is perfect (it only contains 8% of iron per serving). Another reason why I decided to try this product was because it is made with sprouted brown rice. it should make digesting easy. The texture is not bad either. The only thing I'm concerned about this product is that the ingredients are from China. I'm concerned about the quality control of this product. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that, there is no issue with this product. However, if I could find something made in the US, I would switch to that, even if it was a little more expensive.

Mixes well and taste fantastic
I took a chance and ordered the three products. I ordered the Pea protein, the brown rice protein, and the organic cacao powder. This company has an outstanding reputation and this is one of the reasons I ordered. I wasn’t happy that is processed in China but sometimes you have to overlook that. Anyways the taste of these proteins are amazing. I mixed just a small tablespoon of each powder in 6 ounces of water and added one ice cube and five blackberries. I left it on high for at least two minutes in my blender. The taste was fantastic. And the powder is so smooth and mixes Great. I think some people write negative reviews because they’re not completing their research to understand what they should be doing with the protein powder. Just because it comes with a scoop doesn’t mean you’re supposed to use that scoop. On the calorie count it shows a tablespoon but I don’t use a heaping I just use a small tablespoon. And I ordered these two flavors because I definitely can’t have Whey protein and these two mixed together as a read in my research they work well together for weight loss.

Chalky
I tried this product based on reviews. Personally I find this product to be awful. I tried this in my coffee. It mixes at first but quickly turns into sludge. What doesn’t mix, adds a lovely chalky and flat taste. This product may work in other foods, only after my first impression, I plan on adding this bag to the trash.

Fine powder and only 8g of protein per serving
This is the brown rice powder, not the pea protein powder (I got it by mistake, looking for the pea). Compared to the pea, this brown rice powder is tasteless and on the chalky side..Fine powder . If that's what you are looking for, this product may fill the bill.
