AMAZING product! I have been using NatureLab.TOKYO Perfect Clean Scalp Scrub & Clarifying Shampoo for a little over 2 months and it has made a huge difference for my scalp. Prior to trying this I was experiencing itchiness--with no flaking or dandruff--all over my scalp, regardless of the weather, i.e. summer, winter, etc. I use gentle hair products, and this issue was becoming intolerable. I asked my stylist for advice. She suggested an expensive hair oil; but after researching other options I came across this scalp scrub & shampoo and decided to give it a try (along with a silicone scalp massager/shampoo brush). I've been using the scrub about twice a week, and no longer have problems with an itchy scalp. In addition, the scrub/shampoo smells amazing, lathers really well, and leaves my hair soft and manageable. Love it! Just one word of caution: be careful not to get it in your eyes, as it does burn.

Just re-purchased. This shampoo is fantastic for fine, thin hair. Unlike most clarifying shampoos that feel like they strip your hair, which is what I thought I needed, this does not. It leaves my hair extraordinarily clean, soft and full of body and bounce. The conditioner is fantastic as well. This does not strip my hair color at all and smells great.

I have had some hair loss due to menopause. I realized this was affected by my scalp, specifically, I was shampooing less and using dry shampoo and realized I might be clogging follicles. I decided to try this scrub to hopefully start fresh, and it is amazing. I have color-treated, fine hair, so I use this once a week with the matching mask. My hair feels luxurious, smells amazing, so shiny. For reference, I use Purology Hydrate as my usual shampoo/conditioner- and that is about the best on the market. This compares. In fact, when I run out of that, I am going to try the "repair" duo from this company to see if it is as good, as it costs significantly less. Try this, it is amazeballs.

Great scalp scrub! Helps reduce my dandruff significantly!!!! It does leave my hair dry though.

Wife's review - Having some recent hair loss, fine hair but full. Hard water with a softener treatment system new to us. Spoke to stylist during recent cut and she used "scalp cleansing" shampoo. Gently massage into scalp & through all your hair. Felt great but heavy on condition side made it flat. They also didn't sell the product at her salon - commercial beauty supply. Checked here and looked close over a few products. Saw this after reading all prior products scrolling. Bingo! I have fine hair. Stylist said only use scalp cleansing shampoo with exfoliant 1 time a week. When I initially opened it smells so good. Light floral not sweet overload heavy scent. She instructed small dab about size of nickel to start. It was actually all I needed due to the water softener & suds up well. Worked through scalp & all through my hair. The sugar exfoliating pieces are slightly larger than the product she used ( fine ground) but these exfoliating sugar pieces do a great job. Using styling products the soft water wasn't getting all the root lift, hair spray out of scalp or hair. I was amazed it was shiny the first use. Truly works great. Keeps scalp and hair clean,fresh feeling & free from product buildup and frees follicles being clogged from occasionally using multiple hair products keeping skin cells from washing away ( yucky) . This "scalp cleansing" shampoo truly works wonders. Love using it and just letting it air dry. Feels great. Shiny. One time a week. Life saver. Even 2-3 days after using it when regular shampoo, styling products, hair dryer & set spray my scalp feels great and my hair stays shiny. Buy it.

I'm used to the Perfect Clean regular/ original (Excellent, lightweight volumizing for fine (porous, curly) hair strands, love it] & decided to order the Cherry Blossom scent, and was surprised recieving this different looking container...but I referred to their site and this is new packaging with apparently same ingredients ( which appeared to be the case roughly scanning the tiny print on my old original perfect clean tub to the 'new'/ currently listed ingredients on there. ) [Side note, Target's ingredients for the orig new packaged product are a bit different to both NatureLab's site & my old bottle (weird) fragrance is higher on list and at least the second half of the list looks different] So I'll test out this new Cherry Blossom shortly to confirm it's the same formula but looks good, and smells wonderful. Very tasteful and fresh & clean yet with almost a touch of rose in there. Not overpowering to me, and of course fragrance is 2nd to last ingredient. I found it a bit familar after a few smells, and it's Very similar to a body wash I've got; Bastide - Figue D'ete.

So I have diagnosed MDD, which means that during depressive episodes that last weeks to months, taking care of my hair becomes difficult. I have wavy curly hair, and my scale often becomes oily and gets a bit of build up. Ive tried clarifying shampoos before but I felt like I wanted a scrub scrub for my specific situation. - This foams VERY well and a little does truly go a long way but you need your hair to be VERY wet to properly massage the grit into the scalp comfortably - The grit does actually exfoliate the scalp more than just a simple clarifying shampoo would. - The grit is easy to wash out and doesnt take much if any extra work to wash out of your hair - HOWEVER The clarifying part truly does strip ALL oil, so the hair becomes quite dry (?hard to work with, not soft, lots of friction) despite being wet. I use Skala Donna instead of traditional conditioner, so I just put a little on my hands and ran it through the scalp parts of my hair to rehydrate the hair. I typically dont use conditioner on the scalp because mine gets oily and so for me its not good. Overall I really like this. I would probably use it once a month during depressive episodes, but up to twice a month for normal use because of how clarifying it is. If you get build up or oil less often, maybe once or twice ever 2 to 3 months.

I am so pleasantly surprised by this shampoo scrub. After research and reading reviews, I decided to give NatureLabs Tokyo shampoo/scrub a go. It arrived this morning. First impression is that it smells wonderful (original). Not heavy or sweet, just subtle and light. I am sensitive to scents and this gave me no problems. I was not expecting much when I opened the container and scooped out a bit. I was pretty certain it wasn't going to do anything. Happily, I was wrong. The little bit I scooped out lathered well and was very gentle. Despite scrubbing, my hair did not tangle (my fine strands tangle easily). The product rinsed easily. I let my hair air dry. It didn't get itchy. It didn't produce dry flakes, and the psoriasis patch on my scalp isn't angry. As if the efficacy wasn't enough, my hair looks amazing. It is shiny, full (remember, I air dry), and my loose waves are well defined. This stuff is just amazing. I can't recall the last time I was this happy with a hair product.
