The flavor was good; we were pleased with it and the pup was too. And they were very fresh. The issue came when we were down to the last half or so (we cut them in half to fit our container). We had to throw a couple out due to mold last week. Then, the other day, I had to toss the remaining 15 or so halves out for mold. For reference, we tend to go through approx. 5-8 of these halves a day and I think we had them 2 or 2.5 weeks before I tossed the last. Our usual brand holds up a good month or more on the counter and are typically gone before issues arise. We aren't mad, just disappointed. It can happen, especially as we had it on our counter in a closed container. However, that's only happened once with our usual brand that we get at a local Mennonite store. If we get these again at all, they'll have to be eaten VERY quickly and/or stored in the fridge to extend the shelf life.
