The charger is very finicky, requiring you to get it in the outlet just right in order for it to have power. My house is old, so I initially attributed this to old outlet receptacles, as this has happened with other electronics--sometimes they would fall out. However, even after changing the outlet, it still doesn't want to connect when plugged in. I have to push in very hard to get it to work, and of course as soon as I let go, it loses its charge. It's almost like the base is too big for the plug.
