So much better than cleaning out and filling nasty waterers!
This is an ingenious system; not having to clean out my gross dirty waterer twice a day is enough to make me a happy guy! I was a little bit concerned about the hens getting the hang of the system, but they did figure it out. When I cooped them at night I would grab 2 or 3 and push their beaks onto the nipples. They are shy about drinking in front of me, but I know they're using it because of the wet spots on the ramp (I mounted it above the ramp that leads to their laying box so that when they were little they could walk up and reach it, and now that they're big they can use the lower nipples. That saved me having to reinstall it a few times as they grew. The system is very complete - it comes with everything pictures plus it has a big wooden "bulldog" where you mount the 5 gallon pail. I used the included wood screws and attached it to a 4x4 post which I drove a few feet into the ground right next to the coop. They even include zip ties to attach the waterer to your chicken wire or coop. The hose accessories are pretty cheap plastic. I don't think that you need anything more heavy duty given the water pressure is almost nothing; the only thing I'm worried a little about with the quality is that this stuff might be more susceptible to freeze damage than a quality set. Obviously the goal is to never let them get below freezing, but if we got an unexpected cold snap and got caught off guard I do not believe the hose bib & adapters would survive. One thing I'd highly recommend is to replace the 5 gallon bucket pail cover with a Gamma Seal cover. The cover it comes with is very difficult to put on and take off - especially given that it's suspended up on the bulldog. The Gamma cover is around $10 and once you snap the outside retainer on, the top just easily screws on and off. This has made the waterer so much easier to use for me.The price for the complete kit vs. just buying the nipples is a little much, but I'm glad I have it. If I ever have to replace it, I'll just buy the nipples and build it with parts from a hardware store for half or a third of the expense.I put the bucket in a shady place so it keeps the water fairly cool. I would not recommend putting this system in anywhere it gets direct sunlight because the water in the hose will get way too hot for the birds.I am also wondering what winter will bring; I was thinking I'd get two sets of heat tape and tape up the waterer as well as the hose and the bottom of the 5 gallon pail. I am very interested to hear if anyone else has used this system through a cold winter and how (if) it performed.

The chickens have clean water all day and it stays nice and clean
This has made my life so much easier. The chickens have clean water all day and it stays nice and clean. It was easy to assemble. Everything about it is perfect. It never gets rusty or dented since its not on the ground. If I could I would give it 10 stars. Right now I have 2 of these with 26 hens and 2 turkeys, they are usually 3/4 of the way full by the end of the day. My husband doesn't like carrying heavy chicken waterers around and this is great because you can drain it without actually moving it.

One Star
Although I like this system, it constantly leaks. :( I would not waste your money on it.

not happy
the nipples constantly leak which means you have to add water daily. if I knew I would have to do that I would just use the old fashioned water

Good, but arrived with a missing nipple and hole!
While I do love this system because it saves me from changing dirty water twice a day, I was really frustrated at the time of arrival. The watering system was delivered missing a nipple and instead it had a small hole where the fourth nipple should have been. Therefore, especially because I needed to have the system up and running the next morning after arrival (was leaving for vacation), I had to figure out a way to plug the hole. Aside from that and the unprofessional and a little unclear assembly directions, I am mainly happy I purchased this system.

I like it.
Works great and easy install. My birds like it. Only problem is little drop leaking. I have 13 birds and refill it every 3 days.

Easy of use
My birds were easy to train to use the waterer simply by showing them. During dry spells, it will be easy to fill from outside the coop, and just one big bucket rather than 2 smaller ones. I love that the wooden bracket to mount the bucket was included and is sturdy enough to hold a 5 gallon bucket. The other parts look easy to obtain piece meal elsewhere, but were all there. Replacements can also be found with this company. We just finished building a new chicken coop with a covered run. We use this as part of an overall system to divert rain water into the bucket making it easier to care for the girls.

Simple Effective Design
Bought this kit at the beginning of the summer, assembly was a snap.We were worried at first that we'd have trouble training our chickens to use the nipples. We gave them access to a water bowl and the nipples for the first week. During that week, whenever we visited the chickens we'd grab a few and tap their beaks to the nipples. Soon we started seeing them do it without our prompting! We took away their water bowl and haven't looked back!Winter will be the real test of this setup. We're planning on running pipe-heater tape along the hose run to prevent freezing.
