Gardner's Art through the Ages: The Western Perspective, Volume II (with Art Study & Timeline Printed Access Card)

the first half of world art history was boring, but the second half is pretty interesting, im not sure if it's because of this book, but i find this book more interesting than the book for part 1.

I obtained this book through the Amazon student textbook rental program. I was panicking since my school did not have any copies of ANY of the books I needed left, but lo and behold, I found this copy PRIME on Amazon. (Long live Amazon!). It arrived within the requisite two days, and is in good condition - few marks (I've found the highlighted bits to actually be relevant - thank you previous renter!) bent pages, etc.The subject itself is actually more fascinating than I anticipated. I'm taking the class simply to satisfy my last art credit, but I've found that I'm actually becoming engrossed in some of the artistic history. The pictures are clear, and relevant, and the inset notes are helpful. I probably wouldn't read it on my own, but being required to take the class, the book ain't half bad.

This was the textbook that was required by one of my elective courses (art history from Mesopotamia to Modern times) in community college. I learned more world history from this book and the course than any of the more traditional history courses that I had taken before.

I purchased this book for a school class, I found it to be very informative and interesting. The pictures of the paintings were sharp I would purchase this book again if I needed for class.

I ordered this book for an art history class I was taking. The book itself was very interesting&it great shape,! However, when I bought this book, it was supposed to come with the printed access card for online stuff,&it did not come with the book. I just got the book! I figure for the $79 and some change that I paid for the book, I should get everything that was promised.! Not very happy about that. But the book itself was great, very informative.

I had to use this for class, it's good quality, and pretty interesting.
