If you're weary of looking for a good Quartz heater, then STOP here !
You won't be unhappy even for $200 ! I have 3 other Quartz type and have replaced them once over the last few years. BELIEVE me when I say there are 20 Posers out there for every good one.I have been looking for a decent Quartz heater for a month or so now. I have taken 6 of them back to various stores for refunds after I test run them at home to find out they're junk. The only other one that I've owned/tested that compares to this one is the Life Pro fireplace mantle type with the fake flame.(I reviewed it a few days ago here BTW) Northern Tool discontinued it. The other Life Pros I've tried were pretty crappy though. Well, this is one of those good ones. I did ask the buyers about the fan force on this one, but feeling it first-hand is pretty impressive. They were saying 3 or 4 feet, but I'm feeling it about 6 feet away. This thing really puts out the heat and the adjustable vent vanes are good quality and have a good range. I have this one in a hallway of a 60 year old ranch house and it's warming a full bath, small hallway, a 12 X 14 bedroom with drafty windows.

Instant heat, quiet and unobtrusive
The infrared heat warms you instantly, rather than merely warming the air. The UV air cleaner smells clean, and nice to have the option of shutting that feature off. The thing is handsome and small enough to tuck into the bottom of our bookcase cabinets when not in use. Because we do not have to heat all the air in our rental house in order to stay comfortable, we anticpate savings on the electric bill

Not the latest version number
The software version number was lower than the unit I already had. Notified seller but was not convinced of their response. However, it quickly heats a 12 ft by 12 ft room.

very nice to look at
The unit is extremely quiet, very nice to look at, light weight and easy to transport to the area needed.......and best of all ..... it works Great!Very capable of heating several rooms with extended operation. With the cold upstate NY winter we had several occasions to run the unit over night and it was fine...... we do not notice an impact on the electric bill. I would highly recommend this unit.
