Review: Comfy right out of the box, but order up! - New Balance tends to run a little smaller than other street size. In most shoes, I take a US 8.5-9. But in NB I take a 9.5-10. Err on the larger side. These are so cushioned and comfortable, lightweight. I find them perfect for walking and being on my feet as a nurse all day. Review: The shoes provide great support and comfort - The shoes provide great support and comfort. My only complaint would be that holes developed on the top of the shoes after a few months, which I have never experienced before with any pair of New Balance shoes. ## Features - You can feel fast mile after mile in the 890v5, featuring responsive REVlite cushioning and an ABZORB crash pad for superior shock absorption. - ABZORB® crash pad cradles the heel area medially and laterally for additional stability - Blown rubber outsole provides superior rebound - Breathable air mesh - Upper features no-sew construction for a sleek fit and feel - Revlite midsole ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00LBZ435G | | Arch Type | neutral | | Brand | New Balance | | Closure Type | Lace-Up | | Color | Silver/Blue | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 130 Reviews | | Fabric type | 50% Breathable Mesh, 50% Synthetic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00888546504172 | | Heel Type | Flat | | Import Designation | Imported | | Insole Material | Manmade | | Item Type Name | Running Shoe | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Manufacturer | New Balance | | Manufacturer Part Number | W890SB5 | | Material Fabric | synthetic | | Model Name | 890 V5 | | Occasion Lifestyle | Casual, athletic, performance | | Origin | Imported | | Outer Material | Mesh, Rubber | | Outer material | Rubber | | Pattern | Solid | | Pronation Correction | Neutral | | Seasons | Spring | | Shoe Height Map | Low Top | | Sole Material | Manmade | | Sole material | Manmade | | Special Features | Cushioned | | Sport Type | Running | | Style Name | 890 V5 | | Style Number | W890SB5 | | Subject Character | Occupational professional | | Surface Recommendation | Road, Treadmill | | Toe Style | Closed Toe | | UPC | 888546504172 | | lining-description | Synthetic | ## Images ![New Balance Women's W890V5 Neutral Running Shoe - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71pB1zK8LsL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfy right out of the box, but order up! *by K***R on May 3, 2016* New Balance tends to run a little smaller than other street size. The uppers are made of some very poor material and are fraying on the sides. I have only had these shoes for less than 2 months. Amazon will not let me return them. I think if you pay more than $100 for a pair of shoes they should last longer than 2 months. I wish I could give 0 stars for these. Update: 11/2/15. After talking to New Balance Customer Service, New Balance gave me a credit for the shoes to spend in their online store. I am very happy with the customer service. I have owned dozens of pairs of new balance shoes and never had a problem until this style (W890V5). --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/14268760-new-balance-womens-w890v5-neutral-running-shoe](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/14268760-new-balance-womens-w890v5-neutral-running-shoe) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
