Review: Brilliant and engaging - This game was brilliant. Honestly can't recommend it enough. I'd previously done a few of the Thames and Kosmos escape rooms but this was on a different level entirely. It is split into three chapters, which we played over three nights. The game description says 90 minutes per chapter but in my experience it was more like 2-3 hours per chapter - perhaps we were just slow! We used the app, which added to the game a lot and meant that we didn't have to keep reading cards aloud. I've used game apps in the past where the voice has been annoying but this was very listenable. I'd say age 16+ for this game is about right, both in terms of theme and the level of concentration required. This is a game you can only really play once. You don't alter the playing materials so could pass it to someone else afterwards, but you're putting clues together and I don't think a replay once you know all the answers would be any fun. This was the most engaging game I've played for a very long time. I'll be ordering The Dungeon, by the same maker.

**Q: Would you be able to play this game via video chat if only one person had the game?**
A: Yes and it would work well. You need to be able to see the cards, which have visual clues on them, so I presume you could do with a webcam or something suspended above the table. You could hold the cards up or swing your phone over them but it would not be terribly satisfactory.

**Q: Can you play with 5 people?**
A: There are only 4 characters so strictly speaking, the answer is no. However, the game is cooperative and you can play the 4 characters as a team if you want.

**Q: Can you play this as just one player**
A: Hi, you can play this 1 player according to Thames and Kosmos, I don't have experience of playing the Adventure Games series, in the Exit series you certainly could but I found it helped to have other peoples input to the puzzle nature of those games.
