Access to water pipes

Perfect access panel. Its jard to find these sizes in home stores, when arrived it was packaged creat and definatly not cheap plastic. Will hold up for years. Easy to install also.

I had to replace my shower valve. Rather than break the bathroom tile, which could never be adequately repaired afterward, I chose to cut a hole in the back wall of my closet, which gave me access to the shower plumbing. Since the shower valve was 25 years old, I thought I would not need access to the shower plumbing ever again (but you never know). I anticipated that I would install new plasterboard to cover the hole. But the plumber suggested an access door. The inner wall space has a lower temperature than the living space, so I wanted a door that would close tightly and not allow cold air to leak into the closet. Access doors come in plastic and metal. I chose the plastic, because it is lighter. The Acudor I installed met all of my criteria. It inserts nicely into a plasterboard hole. It closes very tightly so cold air does not leak into the closet. And, It's paintable so it blends in with the closet wall. Very satisfied.

Works great. Ridiculously expensive for what it is.

Solid product for what you buy.On the manufacturing side I personally would have dry wall anchors built in or at least an option. That would allow for a full proof installation. It’s always scary to think they are leaving installation ideas up to an inexperienced installer.Other than that it’s a solid product. I wouldn’t shy away from buying again!

Works as described. Easy to install.

The product description doesn't note that there is an inset flange that is about 3/4 inch deep. That means it will not fit across normally spaced studs which are 16 inch on center unless you want to chip out the plastic and risk damaging the frame. Would have been nice if it were only 1/2 inch which would allow it to be placed over drywall without concern for the studs. Had to return because it simply was not going to work for me.

These are cheaply made but they work. I would not use this for an opening I frequently access but for plumbing or other access points that are rarely accessed it gets the job done. Paint adheres cleanly.

I had a leak in my ceiling and needed some way to close it up as we just sold the house! This was delivered quickly, it was super easy to install and the low profile makes it almost invisible. It's perfect.

I had this installed for a large hole for an access for a shower valve in drywall. I installed it with no issues and worked well.

Used it as an access door for the house skirting. We'll see how it holds out this winter.
