This water fountain for my cats is a HUGE improvement over the last one I purchased. I have cleaned it once so far and found no sign of any deposits left on it from my water. Mineral deposits on my last one were always present and were very hard to remove. This fountain is made from a different kind of plastic. My last one was made from a hard plastic that could crack or break. This one is made of a bendable type with a very slick surface, and I believe that is why I am not experiencing an issue with water deposits. This product is also very easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. And my cats LOVE it! I believe they are drinking a lot more water because they like it so much. This is one of my best Amazon purchases to date. And the purchase price was more than reasonable. The fountain is exactly as described on the website. And it shipped promptly and arrived within days. I highly recommend this fountain.

My new cat simply can not get enough of this fountain! As his owners we are happy he is happy but can say we are less than thrilled with his stunningly healthy hydration a the box is forever full of healthy urines despite multiple daily cleanings. But the blow is softened by looking at his sweet face ever so softly illuminated by his oh so cute fountain giving off a soft relaxing bubbling. You won't regret this purchase and your cats kidneys will be ever grateful. Oh, it is also easier to clean than previous fountains I have owned and much quieter. The lid also keeps so much debris from getting in the reservoir.

I was not sure if my cats would like this one because of the light. After a few days, they forgot a light was there. I like the light because you can easily see the water level. The open window is great too for checking. It is easy to put together and clean. The water filters fit nicely into the lid. My other fountain required twisting and turning to get the filter out and it was tough on your hands. The different water fall features are great but I tend to use the flower top because my cats like it more. Also, my other fountains did not have a pool of water at the top. This one has a basin style top so the water is there as it trickles. I wish this was my first fountain because the transition would have been easier. All my cats are happy and have a fresh water source. This will be my go to fountain and the one I recommend to friends and family.

One of my waterfall water bowls for my cats was dying out, so I decided to check out the other bowls out there rather than getting the same one since the motor on the one that was dying did not last long at all. I chose this one because it's very similar with one exception: you can easily see the water levels without having to take the top off! It's easy to clean and put together on top of using the same filters as my other bowls, so this is a huge plus. It's so easy to see how much water is in the bowl so that it can get refilled without needing to pop the top off. Plus, the light is quite pretty and the cats LOVE it. The only con is that it's quite loud. While the pump itself is quiet, the claims that one can hardly hear the water is completely false. The water is louder than any bowl I've had in the past. Thankfully, noise doesn't bother me, but I was quite shocked at how loud the water is despite its claims to be quiet. I didn't expect it to be hard to hear the water like this brand claims, but this is the exact opposite of that claim. I can hear the water running in the hallway. Otherwise, I think it's a great bowl and I may replace the other bowls with this one when those need replacing as well.

You do need to purchase a large set of both the water filters and the charcoal filters because the water filters need to be replaced every 2 weeks and the charcoal sponge filters should be replaced every 3 months. I must rinse and clean the charcoal filter every 2 weeks, but it can be reused after hair removal and good rinsing several times before replacing it. The filters stink if used longer than 2 to 3 weeks. It is well worth the investment since my 3 love fresh cold water and the fresh water trickle keeps them coming back for more water throughout the day. Change water daily! All of my fur kids love me adding 2 to 3 cups of ice cubes daily to a few cups of water. Would buy again, but it would be nice if the filter system lasted longer between changes! Be sure to buy the correct water filters for this. Your fur kids will love these watering systems and the night light is a great plus to prevent someone running into it at night.

Set up on this fountain was quite easy, and the directions were good, but after just a few days of use (in which my cats barely touched the fountain) it was totally gummed up and clogged. I was able to clean it, but didn't feel I should need to after such a short period. Also, the motor was very loud and could be heard from the next room over. Overall, it did work, and perhaps if my cats had liked it more I would have been more apt to overlook it's weaknesses. In the end, we gave ours away after just a few weeks.
