Exact Fit
2006 HHR approved. This item works in conjunction https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F675WNW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Exact fit and they come with new bolts. Plug heads are different colors which make it easy to put it back in the correct position. The error code I had received was P0011. Coincidentally the traction control has been on the entire time as the check engine light and now it is off, not sure they if there is any connection. Seems odd there would be but this car has allot of odd problems. Previously I had AAA work on it for the same error code with a misdiagnosis, the second for different reasons. The mechanics do good work but do not research the glitches and problems consumers have. The HHR 2006 being at the top of the charts with complaints and problems.

OEM Part At A Fraction Of The Price!
This exact part (Literally exact down to the part number) costs $59.99+ tax at Advance Auto and Autozone. Though there were some OEMs on here that ran $40.00 (still $20.00 cheaper than parts store) I originally went with an aftermarket "kit" that included both, the intake variable valve timing solenoid, and the exhaust (parts look exactly the same apart from the different electrical connections they have) that ran me about $23.00 for the pair (which I thought was amazing considering a new set was going to run me $120.00+ at the parts store as they didn't carry any aftermarket ones). After installing them I had to quickly remove them just hours later as they made my car lurch and stall which was 10X worse than what I was dealing with with the old ones. Luckily I still had the original failing ones to put back in. Important note: The oil and filter were changed just prior to installing the new ones so dirty oil wasn't to blame. So obviously I was again dealing with the P0013 error code and the very low idling just shy of stalling when sitting at a red light. I quickly began the return process for the aftermarket ones and the same day I decided I was going OEM this time. As I mentioned there were a bunch on here for $40.00 each but after a bit of searching, I found "used" ones on here. "Used" meaning the package was damaged and some minor cosmetic defects. Not that someone else used them already. This particular one was deeply discounted to S22.84 due to the minor cosmetic damage that happened at the warehouse. I wasn't worried about scratches as the parts screw directly into the motor and then are concealed by a plastic cover so I purchased this one. Side note: This part is the intake valve but I scored the exhaust valve at an even better of $15.50 (also claimed minor cosmetic damage) so I got the OEM set for under $40.00. Back to the "minor cosmetic damage". Though I ordered each part separately they were both sold by Amazon and ordered from the same cart they both arrived in the same package 2 days later. I pulled them out of the packaging not knowing what to expect since this was the first time I ordered cosmetic damaged parts. I was pleasantly surprised. As the description stated, both of the original boxes the parts are sold in were heavily damaged. They were smashed, torn, taped, and one box even had the top missing. This had me worried but the worry quickly disappeared when I examined the actual parts. I literally couldn't find a single scratch on either part. All of the cosmetic damage was pertaining to the little factory boxes they're sold in. I installed both the same day I received them (12/11/19) and it's been 6 weeks now with no issues. Btw... if you pull both, the intake and the exhaust valves and lose track of which one goes where, don't panic (in the case of the Equinox anyway). The parts have different electrical connection shapes. The exhaust connector won't fit into the intake and vice versa. Each wire is only long enough to reach that specific part so just match up the connectors and you're good to go. Also, if you go with OEM the parts are color-coded to match the connector (gray and black). The gray one is the intake and goes in front and the exhaust is black and goes in back. Please learn from my mistake and just go OEM right from the start. The biggest complaint I saw for the cheap aftermarket ones was that their internal workings aren't nearly as heat resistant as OEM. As these parts sit directly atop the engine they're going to be subjected to a prolonged high temp environment. Some of the comments stated that the aftermarket China ones didn't even last 2 days before the heat from the engine did them in. So in closing... You get what you pay for but that doesn't always mean you have to pay full price since minor cosmetically damaged OEM parts exist.

Fixed my P0010 trouble code
Worked fine on my 2013 Chevy Equinox with a 2.4L engine. The old one came off pretty easily and this one installed easily. The product itself was fine but I don't think the original one in my car should have went bad with only 55,000 miles. So I give the part 5 stars but I give GM 3 stars for having a failed one so early.

Great replacement at great price
Perfect replacement for my Saturn Sky, got rid of the check engine lot. These are OE parts at less than dealer cost. These are only slightly more than aftermarket ones, but worth the cost for piece of mind.

Genuine OEM part fit HHR SS
My 09' Chevy HHR SS shot a DIC code (I can't remember exactly) for the Exhaust Side Camshaft Position Actuator. I decided to buy this one for the Intake Side to be sure. Call me paranoid, but I like to change things in pairs. I figured it will be a short time before this one would will go as well. Not only that, since I had to remove the airbox out of the way to get to these. This is an OEM ACDelco part. Should fit all 2008+ 2.0L Turbo EcoTech engines for Cobalt, Sky, Ion, Solstice. The exhaust side is ACDelco Part # 12655421. Hope this helps.

So far so good!
Wife’s 2012 Malibu had light on for over a year and running bad (I’m ashamed). I decided to go with a GM part solenoids just in case. As soon as I replaced everything the light went out and I felt the difference. The hardest part was finding the side cover bolt but other then that it’s a VERY easy job. It’s been two months, so far so good. By the way, I changed both the exhaust and intake. Now on to the Wheel Bearings and Hubs 😞
