Otherwise I found as it’s elasticated (sewn in not removable) at the top by the draw strings - which are there for show / to tie but dont actually do anything, it sits above the mummy tummy if you have one and it can easily look like a maternity dress. The material is T shirt material and this makes it light and very comfy but also needs accessories to dress it up a bit. The original two pieces of the dress could be more matched together top and bottom sections and the side hems are out of line. The cotton used could maybe be more of a dark navy rather than white as you can easily see the stitches along each hem line. I would wear it for a bbq lunch do / party or casual dinner party / dinner but not for something overly formal purely as it’s not finished off well enough and with the material it just isn’t the standards of today’s dresses. The strings for example have no ends sewn on they just end with fraying material. They also end too short one side and another bit has been added on to complete the length. As I say love the pattern and pretty dress just would be better if the finer details were executed a little better. Fitting wise minus mummy tummy I would say true to size.
