HIGHLY recommended! But it you won't be disappointed.
I cannot say enough about how much I love these pump-spray bottles. I'm not a schill, and I don't give many 5-stars - but when I find a product I love I totally go for it and tell everyone I know about how awesome it is. I do not recommend this product for *any* type of spirit, acid, or extraction. The rubber (and the pump itself) will not hold up well to vinegar or any kind of alcohol. Sure you can put it in there, but know that once you do the life of the product will shorten significantly. Do not fill the bottle more than half way. Do not fill it to the top, and do not fill it to the top of the plastic insert that goes inside. Trust a Chemical engineer - you need air space to be able to hold pressure. Liquids are pretty much incompressible, thus no air = no pressure. I bought my first one at the local store. After 5+ years the pump part broke so I bought these off Amazon and gave one away as a present. They are aluminum so if that bothers you get the stainless steel version. It's a bit more pricey but if you're concerned about aluminum then get that one instead. I use these for EV olive oil. When I make a grilled cheese I don't bother with butter I just spray a little olive oil on it. This means I am not only choosing an oil/fat with a better HDL/LDL ratio but that I also use *less* oil/fat to get the same results. Also works well for panini/Foreman-style counter grills. Sunny-side up eggs have never flipped so easily, flash-fried zuch & squash medallions without the heavy coating of fat! Yeah I know it's not butter and doesn't have that butter flavor but I'm not going to turn into a vegan and I'm not going to give up some of my favorite comfort foods. Using this enables me to make a really *naughty* dish a tiny bit more healthy.

could be better
I had a Pampered Chef sprayer that I loved, but it got clogged and stopped working after 2 or 3 years. I should have tried harder to find a Pampered Chef rep to buy another one, the Pampered Chef one works better than this one. However, this is not a horrible product. One drawback compared to the Pampered Chef one is that you can't see through this one to see how high the oil level is. You want to fill it just a bit higher than halfway, and when it is less than 1/3 full you need to fill it back up or it won't work as well. This unit is even more finicky than the Pampered Chef one about the level, it almost won't spray if the level is too low. But since you can't see through it, even holding it up to the light, you have to look down in and estimate how high it is. The reflective coating inside makes it very hard to see how high it really is. You don't want to fill it all the way up, either. Then, you need to pump it more than the Pampered Chef one needed to be pumped. This one sprays a very fine spray, finer than the Pampered Chef one. And it sprays quite nicely if you have the correct level of oil in there. I think I know why my old one got clogged. So I'm trying something new: each time I'm done, before I put it away, I twist the screw on cap around the nozzle and release the pressure. I think if you leave it pressured up all the time, like I did with my old one, it damages the nozzle over time. But time will tell if I'm right. Another tip -- don't fill it with anything but olive oil. Other oils evaporate and leave a sticky/greasy feeling on the outside of the sprayer. You know what I mean if you use vegetable oil for stovetop cooking a lot, you get that greasy feeling on things that you leave near the stove or that hang over it. Olive oil doesn't do that, that's why I now don't use anything else on my stovetop (except sometimes peanut oil for stir frying). This type of sprayer will work much better if you just use Olive Oil in it, trust me. But if you have a choice, go find a Pampered Chef rep and by their sprayer. It's cheaper and better quality.

They actually DO put out a spray, and not a stream of oil!
I make grilled cheese sandwiches a lot. A LOT! And I'm on a constant diet, so I don't use butter, mayo, or any other high calorie fats on my bread... but I still want that lovely browning of my bread and the nice crunch that you just don't get if you use nothing on the bread. I ruined my Foreman grill by using Pam to spray my bread with (it works great, by the way), so recently purchased another one grill, a small one just perfect for making one sandwich. And since it's the propellent in the Pam that causes the grill's surface to get a build up on it (and completely removes any non-stick properties!) I decided I needed an oil sprayer, so I could use my own oils. I've tried a few, but they all SAID they sprayed the oil, but it came out in a stream. That not only doesn't work for making grilled sandwiches, it also doesn't coat a pan nicely with just a few quick sprays! I saw the Misto sprayers, and figured it was my last try. If they didn't work, I'd just have to ruin more grills, I am NOT giving up my favorite sandwiches. The bottles arrived, I cleaned them, filled them with canola and olive oil, and proceeded to make a grilled sandwich, hoping against hope that I would get an actual spray this time, and not a stream. THEY WORK WONDERFULLY! I do suggest that you read the directions, because it's actually important that after using you loosen the collar and let the remaining air out. This allows the oil to drain from the plastic tube, and prevents the oil buildup in the sprayer that can clog it very quickly on you. I've been using mine for a few weeks now, and there is absolutely NO build up yet, they still spray perfectly. I am extremely pleased with these! They're even attractive, and look nice on the counter when I forget to put them back in the cabinet! I'm very happy with this purchase, and I do recommend them for anyone that wants a spray and not a stream from their oil sprayers! I give them 2 thumbs up!

Hard to maintain a decent spray
I thought these would be great but I'm disappointed. After using for a year, I quit using them. It's hard to maintain a consistent spray and the constant pumping to maintain pressure is annoying.

A Great Value
I have had this item for months now. I don't bother to "release" the pressure (discussed in the instructions for it) and I do only fill part ways. If I get clogging I will come back and post my sins in a later update. I only fill about 25% not only because they instruct you to, but I don't use enough.. the oil has a tendency to get "randy".. that is to have a slightly "off" taste.. if you don't use it fairly quickly ...this is not a problem with the sprayer.. just that oils "oxidize" in the open air. I wash it after each "emptying".. they suggest you wash them every 3 months or so, so this works out nicely. The other reason to fill partway is that the air provides the "engine".. more air, longer sprays with one pumpup.. I bought two, one for olive oil and one for "salad oil" (whatever vegetable oil you like). The oil sprays nicely.. I thought it would be more of a stream, but it is atomized pretty evenly over the area. In fact it does such a great job that it will leave a "cloud of oil" floating around your kitchen if you spray holding it too far from your "target". I use it for salads, items to be browned (much more efficient than glopping it onto the pan), and for popcorn (love popcorn with olive oil.. or you could use a "butter flavored oil too I suppose) A negative is that I knocked it off the shelf onto the stove (about 3 ft drop) and it dented a bit (note it didn't break). This is due to the aluminum which is QUITE SOFT. They offer a STAINLESS STEEL version Misto Stainless Steel Olive Oil Sprayer of this same pump which may be considerably stiffer, but it is about double price. Contrary to others who have posted I find them to be pretty sturdy for a $10 item (was also "4 for 3" priced and "free over $25 shipping" as I recall), and based on the stream of reviews here, I think its clear they have improved it over the last couple of years. Which brings me to the second negative.. it is just too light and is slightly top-heavy.. the slightest tap (or if you don't set it squarely on it's base) and it topples over.. It would be greatly improved if they would weight the base with something heavy or perhaps shape the container to be larger at the bottom (of course that would take more shelf room). (edit 5/13/11): added links and minor updates. It also continues to operate reliably .. occasional cleaning is the only maintenance required) (edit 6/4/12): It has developed a slow leak through the nozel.. it works fine after pumping, but if I set it down for a few minutes, it will have to be pumped again.. not a major issue, but thought I'd mention it. If I listen at the nozel I can hear the leak. 6/20/12: A thorough, hot, soapy cleaning corrected this problem.. it now will hold pressure for days if I wish. After several years of great service I have raised my rating to 5-star. [edit: 8/2013] Still working, but I thought I'd add a note. I use EVOO in mine and I also don't keep my house very warm during the winter (50ish degrees F.) REAL EVOO and this will clog at low temps. I just heard on Dr Oz that 40% or more of "EVOO" sold in the US is "watered down" with cheap oils so as to raise their profit margin.. One test for EVOO is that if you put it in your refrigerator real EVOO will congeal into a thick gelatin.. "fake" ones remain liquid.

Not worth the money
I have had (and been using) these for a few months now. I received it from a relative who very much likes their Misto sprayers. My OnLY issue with these sprayers is that I wish they sprayed while being held at maybe a 90 degree angle - they must be held much more upright to work effectively. (So I find myself tipping the bowl or pan I am spraying, an easy fix.) Plastic sprayer reviews seem to agree that the plastic will get to hold a smell after a while of use. Ugh! The sprays from the store have additives, such as anti-foaming agents, emulsifying agents to prevents ingredients from separating, propellants/chemicals used to drive the fluid out of the can,.. so I feel that the Miso sprayers are a healthier choice. First, I find that they work best when I do not fill them much. This way, the pressure can build by pumping and I can have it empty more often for cleaning. If I fill it as much as recommended, I find that I really ought to be cleaning it more often. I have seen comments about the spraying. There was a learning curve for me. I don't even count the pumps, because I found that 10-15 is often not enough (possibly because I fill it less). I pump it until I feel resistance, and the cap no longer goes all of the way down for the pump, or even until I can no longer pump the cap. With the container pressurized, I do not get the spittle, but I get a very nice spray. If the spray starts to die off, I stop & re-pump to pressurize again. So I have found that the spittle and drops come from not enough pressure. Pump it up again. Also, hold the sprayer more upright than perpendicular. I have sen comments about instructions to depressurize after each use. This does NoT mean after every spray. It means when you are putting the sprayer away for use at another time. Storing it while pressurized will quickly ruin the sealing ability. As with other sprayers (and even cans of spray paint), I sometimes (never always) turn the sprayer upside down & spray to clear the nozzle. Then I release the pressure. I have never had trouble with the nozzle clogging. Then again, filling with less oil, I may be cleaning the entire thing more often than other users. ** UPDATE: My above review was written in haste. This product simply does not last. One broke when washing after the first few weeks of using. There is an attachment on the bottom of the tube that goes into the oil that broke off when hand washing. There is no way to attach it back on to the tube. The sprayer does not work correctly without this piece. The second sprayer would spray a mist for perhaps the first four times used. Now it will only produce a stream of oil. Not at all what the product advertises or why I bought it. These were a gift, recommended from a relative. At the time, they did not know where the Misto sprayers they had bought and used years before were or why they no longer used them. After my 'issues' and longer discussions, it appears that they also had problems with this product and are sorry to have recommended them.

gamechanger! forget buying sprays from the grocery store!!!
Whether you're trying to be healthy and cooking with oil Or you want to be more holistic and healthy... . YOU NEED THIS . ISSUE Some ppl say it sprays a stream... They overfilled the bottle and/or the oil they are using is coagulating in the nozzle. SOLUTION It says to only fill the bottle half way... read the directions people! HALF is MAX I usually have it 1/4 to 1/2 full. You're not glugging oil on a pan, you're spritzing it. Trust me having it only 1/4 full it'll still work well for a couple weeks of cooking. . People don't look at the ingredients of their kitchen stuff enough. . Even the cooking sprays are notorious for having additives. Soy for example is one thing added and other things to help keep the spray thin. . These are things you'll consume which isn't cool. PLUS those additives are what discolor your beautiful pots. My Cuisinart Stainless Steel triple clad pan is one of the most gorgeous things I own. The LAST thing I want is to discolor it with oil gunk and have to scrub it with barkeepers friend. (which I still do monthly to keep it sparkling but still!) . Using this oil spray ensure you will not have any extra junk in your oil, or in your cooking, or in your body or your family's body or friends you cook for! . So far, I've used it with grapeseed oil and avocado oil. I assume it would work with olive oil. Coconut oil would be too thin, unless you wanted to do something like warm it on a warm stovetop or something. But really I'd avoid it. . I have had it stream and not spray before. I found that either I had to pump it more, it was too full, it was almost empty, or the nozzle was a little clogged.... If the nozzle is clogged, run it under hot water for 5-10 seconds and it should be perfect again. . Really this should be in everybody's kitchen. It even look skinda cool! I like the construction too, the bottle is aluminum and sturdy and the screw on top is made out of stone. They did this I can only assume, because the harder stone threads don't leak as much as plastic ones would have. . So they care about how well their product works! You know they could have gone with a cheaper screw on cap but this quality is way better!

Poor pressure
I bought my 1st one 10'ish years ago and it was great, zero conplaints. Misto was the go-to oil sprayer then, and for good reason. It finally broke and I bought a 2 pack a few years ago. Neither one of was of the quality of the original. The pump cap on the 1st one broke almost immediately, but before it did it never pumped to a reliable pressure to get a good diffuse spray. It usually came out in a limp stream. I've been using the 2nd one for awhile now, its inability to build up good pressure was as disappointing as the its companion. I've finally grown tired of it and am shopping for a new one. I would not recommend it.

Yüksek kalite
Çalışma mantığı piyasadakilerden çok farklı. Tüp içine hava basılarak yağ çıkış hızı artırıldığı için şişedeki yağ sprey şeklinde dışarı çıkıyor. Tavsiye ederim.
