Love it!
New! Works great! I finally have a 3.5 aux from my iPad 11 and I can play Ravenscroft275 on speakers.

Outstanding Device
I just purchased a 2021 iPad Pro and found out many dongles don’t work perfectly with the new M1 equipped machines. After researching it appears to be across the board with any device from Apple with the M1 chip, could be the OS or the devices themselves are lacking something….I have no clue. But, after figuring out that I needed to switch to the mounting plate that accommodates screen protectors (it’s included in the box w/screwdriver to fit the small screws) it mounted perfectly and the connection with the projector was working perfectly every time I tested the connection. With the other dongles the HDMI was intermittent and sometimes took several attempts of unplugging and plugging it back in to get a picture. Overall a great little device and worth every penny!

Hub may interfere with Case Keyboard in some circumstances.
This device works, but it has some flaws which may be related to limitations of the iPad itself in terms of available power. Like many people I've been having issues pairing many blueooth devices as of the iPad OS 13 updates. Even after the most recent patches. To get around this BT issue I purchased this hub adapter so I could use my Logitech devices with the Logitech usb unify receiver. The unify adapter does work as described when plugged into the hub. However if you use a keyboard/case in addition to the devices connected to the Logitech receiver that case/keyboard will cease to function. Keep in mind that even when the wireless keyboard isn't connected, and just a wireless mouse the issue is also present. Normally this wouldn't be an issue and I would assume it's just a limitation of the iPad OS. However when I use a usb to usb type c adapter and use the Logitech adapter I have no issues using both the devices connected to the receiver, and the case keyboard. In other words some functionality seems to be limited when using this dock vs a normal usb to usb type c adapter. I would guess it's a power issue, not anyone's fault per se, just a bit weird. This is an edge case, but just in case there is anyone else out there who wants to use Logitech unify devices with this Hub.

Makes my iPad Pro like a laptop
I am on the go a lot and also live where there are power outages and wireless connection problems. Just last month we were without electricity for 2 days and although we had a generator and I could work on my desktop, I had no wi-fi. That's when I realized I needed something like the Hyperdrive as I couldn't transfer documents manually or via Dropbox files from my desktop. This device feels really well made. They send you everything you need including a small screwdriver and extra screws so you can add the longer connector. They sent a manual on troubleshooting issues and all in all were just really great with communication and support. Yes, it is more expensive than other similar products. I don't have those products so I can't say if they work as well. But I do believe you get what you pay for and so far the customer support and quality of this product is stellar.

Definitely worth checking out!
We have to remember that the iPad is NOT a computer, but it’s very close. I’m using the Hyper Drive on the new 2020 iPad with the Magic Keyboard, which gives you a track pad. Adding the Hyper Drive gives you peripherals very similar to having a computer. You can transfer files, through a USB port, you have the HDMI port, a head phone jack, you get quite a bit. It’s a lot better having an all in one as opposed to getting the different, HDMI adaptor, a different USB adapter, etc. Some may think that the price is a little high, but when you add up all of the adapters that you would need individually, IT WOULD COST YOU MORE. I’ve been using it a couple of days and it’s working great. I usually travel for business, currently I’m not doing a lot of traveling, but I can tell that this will be one of the main devices that I would travel around the world with. With this device, take the NIKE approach - ‘JUST DO IT!’

Works (and fits) well on 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 - Make sure to switch out the included grip.
So far so good for 2021 (M1) iPad Pro 12.9 with a magic keyboard - When I first plugged it in, it did not turn on - I took out the existing grip and replaced it with the additional grip they provided - it looked slightly larger than the default one that was attached and voila it connected (blue light turned on). I haven’t done a lot of testing, but was able to connect a Blue Yeti microphone and a MicroSD successfully. Will come back with additional updates after some more testing.

Works great for about 4.5 weeks, then bricks
I was thrilled to receive this product about 5 weeks ago. Since the latest generation iPad Pros only have a single USB-C port, and Apple no longer provides a 3.5mm headphone jack, this device looked like a perfect fit - not only does it replicate the USB-C port (so I can charge my iPad while the dongle is inserted), but it has a 3.5mm audio jack (so I can charge it WHILE using headphones), an SD card reader, a legacy USB port, and HDMI out (4K resolution @ 60Hz!). Worked perfectly out of the box. For exactly ~4.5 weeks, dying days after Amazon’s return window closed. When it was working, the blue dongle icon would appear while it was plugged in on the iPad’s task bar in the upper right, and everything worked. Now, the blue light on the dongle does turn on, but for all I know (and the complete lack of documentation does not inform me), that just means it’s getting power. The iPad does not recognize it. When I plug the charger into the dongle, the iPad doesn’t charge. When I plug my headphones into the dongle’s headphone port, no audio. When I go back to using the stock iPad charger directly connected to the iPad, it charges. When I use Apple’s outrageously expensive USB to 3.5mm headphone converter cable, I get audio. So the iPad’s working fine; this product (I alternately refer to it as a dongle and a hub; apologies) is clearly broken. I’ll change this review if I have a good experience with their customer service, but from what I’ve read on the web, I’m in for some hours of misery.

Bad fit on iPad Pro 2021 12.9"
This hub is pretty great and has been working as needed for the most part. I've found that with my iPad Pro 2021 12.9", even with switching to the screen protector mount, the hub mount is still a little too small and will easily disconnect if jostled a little bit. Sometimes even putting on my magnetic case is enough to slightly move the hub and cause it to disconnect. For a device advertised to work with the 2021 iPad Pro, this is pretty disappointing. I'm thinking of switching to the dongle connector full time instead of using the mount.

Not the best
At first when connected, it couldn’t work, I tried taking it on and off from my iPad Pro a few times but still couldn’t get it to work. I then tried removing the removable piece from it and connected again and it worked. I then tried reattaching the removable plate back and tried again, it didn’t work again and I tried to push it a bit more and it eventually worked. It was quite a scare for me as I heard good reviews about it and when I tried it for myself, it wasn’t the best experience, I connected the hdmi to test the connection and the hub was pretty hot In terms of temperature and I took it off and stop using it. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed and having paid so much for it. I chose this over the anker one which was evenly priced and in the end, it was not ideal. I’m using a 2021 12.9” iPad Pro with magic keyboard, technically speaking, the hub should fit nicely but i guess it could if you tried hard enough.

Quality is awesome
Product is genuine and quality wise it's too gud and they provide different types of rubber case for it to fit and they also provide a wired rubber case and it's useful when u are using iPad with a case on it ..and it heats up while using and the only plus point of this product is all the products will work properly and the 3.5mm jack also works fine and the quality of audio won't change even while charging ..and if u compare with other type c hub products available in online this is the best other items won't even work ...in next gen of this item they should try to avoid the heating issues

Excellent bit of tech!
Great bit of kit that has made my iPad even better! Well worth the price if you’re an avid user of one.

Very useful, High Quality
One of the best usb hub for Ipad Pro. It fits perfectly, and works without a problem. High quality. Did not give any issues until now. Totally recommended.
