No Programming Necessary - Works Immediately
The factory remote was torn apart by a pet, so I've been getting by with a generic "universal" remote, which handled only the most basic of functions. Finally, I got fed up with having to having to hand-change the input/source settings on the back of the TV, so I ordered this remote almost in an act of desperation. The biggest selling point was that it alleged no programming was required and was able to be used as soon as batteries were installed. Truth in advertising for once - I was able to control the TV instantly. It's a bit slow sometimes, requiring an extra button punch to get the proper function to pull up, but overall, I am pleased as can be with this.
