Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser, Sulfate-Free Face Wash, 4.3 Ounces

I was heart broken when my favorite facial cleanser, Skinmilk, was discontinued. I'd been looking for a new cleanser ever since. Even though this cleanser is all natural (which I love!), initially, I had my doubts about this cleanser. I have combination to oily skin, and from the reviews I read, this cleanser works well on normal-to-dry skin. While washing my face with my hands, the cleanser felt oily (it doesn't lather), but once I used a wash cloth to wipe my face, I felt differently. The cleanser left my face feeling so soft and clean. And the orange scent is delicious. It doesn't leave that tight dry feeling on my face that I get when using other cleansers. What I also loved was that I didn't need to use a moisturizer. The cleanser was moisturizing enough. It leaves my face feeling great all day. In a nutshell, this cleanser is all natural, smells wonderful, leaves skin soft and clean, and moisturizes as well. There's nothing more I could want from a facial cleanser. This is my new daily cleanser.

I love this and have used it forever. It's the only oil cleanser that can rescue my sensitive skin from dryness without causing me any breakouts. Yes, the formula has changed slightly a few times but I've never noticed any change in how effective and soothing it is and my skin is very reactive. There a very fine grit, I think from oat powder, that gives a teeny bit of exfoliation but not so much that it interferes with using my other exfoliants. It leaves enough oil behind to seal in moisture without making my skin at all oily. It also smells delicious and the sweet orange scent always wakes me up. I do mostly use it regularly in the winter but I keep it around always just in case. I love this product so much that I always keep several tubes on hand because it's becoming harder and harder to find in stores and I'm terrified that it'll be discontinued like everything else I ever love.

I like how soft my skin feels after using this cleanser to remove my makeup with a bit of warm water. It's very effective with foundation and powder. It doesn't remove my eyeliner and mascara well enough after 1 time, so I use something else for my eyes. It smells very pleasant and has a very smooth texture, like thick cream. I still prefer their original formula to this new one as the old one feels more organic, has a bit of texture and has more orange oil/peels to it. But overall, I still recommend this for make-up removal because of its natural ingredients.

I am in my mid 40s with normal to dry skin. Other cleansers I use regularly (for comparison) are La Roche Posay Toleriane hydrating gentle cleanser, Clarisonic Hydrating, and Lacura Hydrating facial cleanser). I prefer thick cream or lotion style cleansers that do not foam. I personally love to use this cleanser in the shower with my Clarisonic. It is a thick greasy formula that smells delicious like fresh oranges. It cleanses and hydrates my skin, but rinses clean. Does not leave my skin feeling stripped or dry as oil-based cleansers sometimes can. A little goes a long way, so this tube will last quite a while. I also enjoy the Burt’s soap bark cream cleanser, but this one is more moisturizing in my opinion. Difficult to find locally and the Amazon price is very good. This is a Burt’s product I Consider one of my staples, (along with the coconut foot cream) and will continue to repurchase!

Excellent face wash!!

I really love Burt's Bees products, but this cleanser has a really different formula than what I'm usually used to. It does not sud or foam up at all, it's like rubbing some oily paste on your face. No matter how much I tried to rinse it off, it still left a oily residue on my face, but I think that's a combination of my skin being extremely oily and the cleanser itself being oily. So this stuff definitely isn't for those with oily skin. It also fails to remove my makeup, I have to remove my makeup separately first. Was hoping this would do the job. The scent is great though, the only thing I'd say is that this cleanser would probably work better for people with dry skin and don't expect a foaming type of cleanser.

Cleans good enough & smells great!

This stuff is really good. It feels very oily when putting it on, but rinses clean off your face leaving no oily residue. It has an orange smell I'm not in love with thankfully it doesn't linger. Someone was saying it smelled like motor oil, it shouldn't smell this way and if yours does it might be old. Another said it doesn't wash off their mascara. Face cleansers aren't makeup removers and you are supposed to remove your make up BEFORE washing your face to get it clean. Every face cleanser says to keep away from eyes not wash eyes with it. I've washed my face with everything on the sun and this is the only thing that has actually helped my skin yet.

This was a ripoff ..sheer waste.. It does nothing ..just makes your skin greasy .. And itchy ..I asked the sellers to take. It back ,because I was not"satisfied with the product .. They lead me on a wild goose chase ..then refused to take it back !!!!

I use this cleanser every day & have done for around ten years. I am 58 years old & my skin is amazing because of this product. I have super sensitive fair skin & I wear mineral make up most days. This product is very gentle & efficiently cleans my sensitive skin leaving it moisturized because it contains orange oil which for me smells so nice & refreshing. Love this product!

I've ordered this several times from the international store and am so glad I can get it at Amazon.sg now.

I like this face soap and it was difficult to find - they don’t have it at shoppers anymore. The container is different from before but it’s the same quality.
