Sturdy and Versatile Utility Cart
The WEN Service Utility Cart is a well-built and practical addition for any workspace. With a 500-pound capacity and 40 x 17-inch surface, it handles heavy loads with ease and provides plenty of space for tools, supplies, or equipment. Assembly was straightforward and easy to complete, with clear instructions and no missing parts. The cart feels durable and stable once put together, and the wheels roll smoothly on various surfaces. I also appreciate its multi-functional design—it works well for garages, workshops, or even as a portable storage solution around the home. A note for potential buyers: the cart does not fold, as this is a fixed assembly, but it’s solid and dependable once set up. Overall, this utility cart is sturdy, versatile, and convenient. It’s a reliable option for anyone who needs a strong, easy-to-use cart for heavy-duty or everyday tasks.

How did I live this long without it
Where has this been my whole life. How many times have I been working on my car and wasted time running back and forth to fetch tools and then you have to set them down somewhere, how about the engine bay? Oh no they have fallen between the engine and radiator but the shielding underneath has kept it from falling all the way to the floor. How about polishing and waxing you vehicle, now I carry all the polish, pads, towels, and tools around with me. I have even rolled it into the house when I’m doing electrical work, wood work, and maintenance. It’s nice to have everything I need laid out and ready to go without having to bend all the way to the floor every time I switch tools. It is sturdy and rolls well, although I might have preferred that all the wheels swivel. Was easy to assemble.

Great Value Cart for Lighter Duty - Casters are the Only Weak Point
I recently purchased the WEN Service Utility Cart to help organize and move my resin 3D printing tools and supplies around my workspace, and I'm very pleased with it for that purpose. For the price, this is a solid and functional cart with just one notable caveat. The Good: First off, the product arrived very well packaged, with no damage to any of the components. The main parts of the cart—the shelves and legs—are made of a heavy, thick molded plastic. I was impressed with the sturdiness of the plastic; it feels durable and capable of handling significant weight and general workshop abuse without any issue. For my use case, which involves moving bottles of resin, tools, and finished prints, it's absolutely perfect and provides a stable, mobile workstation. Assembly: Assembly was straightforward, though not perfectly aligned with the instructions. The manual indicated there were two left and two right legs. In reality, I had to mount one left and one right leg on each side of the cart to get everything to fit. This wasn't a big deal at all, as the screw holes aligned correctly once I figured out the proper orientation. It was a minor hiccup that was easily solved in a couple of minutes. My Main Concern: The 500-Pound Capacity Here is my biggest concern, and the reason I couldn't give this cart a full 5 stars. WEN claims it has a 500-pound capacity. Looking at the thick plastic shelves and legs, I have no doubt that the cart structure could hold 500 pounds, and likely even more. However, the casters are a different story. The casters appear to be the weak link. The steel used in their construction is quite thin, and the bearings are small. While I haven't tested it with a 500-pound load (and never will), it is my opinion that these casters would not hold up well under that much stress over time. They feel more suited for light-to-medium duty applications. Final Verdict: For my needs, this cart is a fantastic value. I will never need to push its 500-pound capacity, and it works great for what I do. If you're like me and need a sturdy, affordable cart for moving lighter loads (under 150-200 lbs, I'd guess), I would highly recommend it. The heavy-duty plastic construction makes it a great buy. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars because of the excellent price and the quality of the main components. If it came with more robust, heavy-duty casters that inspired confidence in the 500-pound claim, it would easily be a 5-star product. The image shows the metal of the casters at about 2mm. I'm not an engineer but they just seem cheap. Sorry WEN.

Well Made with Quality Hardware and Easy to Assemble
When I was a wood worker I owned several WEN tools, which are affordable and durable tools for those on a tight budget. I purchased this WEN service utility cart for use as a laundry cart. I can no longer walk without assistance from a cane or hiking poles, nor can I lift and walk with a laundry basket, so a cart is useful for trekking back and forth from my apartment to the community laundry room. This cart is reasonably priced, well made using quality hardware, including two stationary rubber casters and two swivel rubber casters. The hubs are plastic, yet, they should last reasonably long, even in regions with extreme cold or extreme dry heat. The cart is easy to assemble with some parts using friction in addition to bolts, flat washers, and self-locking nylon lock nuts. A rubber mallet or hammer with a small block of wood are handy for tapping the parts requiring friction. A bar of soap, wax(paper), soapy water can also be used to lubricate the friction parts in lieu of a mallet or hammer. A wrench will be required for cinching down the lock washers I have nerve damage and arthritis in my extremities and assembled this cart in approximately 20 minutes. A younger or more dexterous person should assemble faster. The handle also serves as a tray for various items, e.g., bolts, washers, nuts, quarters, cell phone, etc. Additionally, it comes with a chrome bar for hanging a shop towel or paper towels. I now have a place to store my hand tools on the bottom shelf of the cart.

Love this cart!
Awesome service cart! I use daily in a very busy shop. It can carry a crazy load and it doesn't bend or complain. Like most Wen products this is a great quality for cost option!

Very Well-Built Unit with Great Utility
This is a very well-built, heavy-duty cart that I use to transport tools and parts from my garage to the vehicles I work on in my driveway. Works as an excellent makeshift workbench but also has the sturdiness to transport hundreds of pounds of parts and tools without issue. The material it is made of is super durable and is similar to Rubbermaid carts/wheelbarrows. The assembly was not too daunting - I would recommend to anyone.

Must have rubber mallet, large Phillips screwdriver, wrench
This cart seems very sturdy and moves around easily on a wood deck. To put it together you must have a rubber mallet (a regular hammer and a block of wood might work if you're careful), a Phillips screwdriver (#2 I think), a wrench, fairly good hand and wrist strength, time. There are a few things that you must do - first and foremost, unpack the legs and search for the letter "R" and "L". The letters are about 1 inch tall but extremely difficult to see even when looking for it. I thank an earlier reviewer for pointing this out because you'd never guess it using the instructions and this point is imperative for success. Two are marked R, (see photo - about 1 inch high) two are marked L, and all four are marked Rc (opposite the R & L and about a half inch high). Ignore the Rc. Points I found challenging were: - "uninterrupted" top shelf means the shelf without holes drilled in the corners. It's also the shelf with the orange label on the long sides. - When placing the legs, the two marked R go kitty-corner to each other, same with the two marked L. In other words if one corner is an R the corners to the left and right are "L"s. Another way to explain this may be, if you labeled one corner #1, then moving in a clockwise direction labeled the other corners #2, #3, and #4, then #1 & #3 are "R" with #1 in the right side/corner of the handle. Each leg has 3 screws. If the screw drops into the hole the leg is positioned incorrectly. Switch it for the opposite leg. Note: you can hammer legs in the wrong positions-they fit perfectly. You'll only know it's wrong if two of the three screws "easily falls" into the holes. If you don't have a power driver I'd imagine screwing these 12 screws would take a bit of hand/wrist strength. The next small challenge was placing the bottom tray in position. Because all four corners of the tray has groves that the legs must slip into, getting the "fourth" corner in place without allowing the other three corners to slip down into place was a little challenging for me due to the weight and size of the shelf - I'd guess the weight to be 10 lbs - and all corners free-fall into place so keeping the three corners high enough and not in final position so I could get the tongue/ groove of the fourth corner/ leg in place took some upper body strength. Finally remember you have 2 swivel casters (front end) and 2 stationary (handle end). I forgot this small detail until I was installing the last caster! but totally lucked-out and had got them in the correct positions - yay! Overall this cart took me a very relaxed 2 hours to build. I'm a lady in my mid sixties and was enjoying the evening outside so I'm sure many could build it much faster. Be careful and don't drop any of the screws, bolts, nuts or washers - there are no extras. Finally I wish to say the accuracy of the fittings i.e. holes/grooves etc. Is amazing. Absolutely everything fit together and aligned 100% perfectly without even a hair's worth out. I compliment the company for achieving that. Additionally the instructions are written in perfect English - it's unfortunate images of the parts and more clarity around a few critical steps are not included. Also in my view they should list the tools required as many people may not have the required tools. I'm looking forward to using this cart - I could easily move it in every direction with one hand (it was empty) so I'm anticipating the best!

Great cart worth the money but BAD instructions.
This is a great sturdy cart but the instruction leave a lot to the imagination. Usually Chinese instructions are full of spelling mistakes so you read them with an I gotta figure this out myself attitude. These instructions are written in good english but not complete. I had trouble with the screw holes not lining up with the holes in the top shelf. The instructions DO not indicate that the legs are different! I called their tech support and learned that there are two left and two right legs?? The "L" and "R" are molded into the inside of the leg and can be difficult to see. So I asked "this is a rectangular shelf, where does it indicate which is right and which is left?" He couldn't tell me. Anyway I tried each leg at each location until I got all of the screw holes lined up. So did this left and right thing make any sense?? NO. The legs fit perfectly diagonally. I guess if you look at the end or side of the cart one side the legs are left and right but the back side legs are opposite unless you flip it around. You would think whom ever wrote these instructions would proof read them or have an employee try to assemble it using the instructions and they would immediately see the problem. Anyway it's a very good cart for the money BUT once again MADE IN CHINA. No wonder everyone is unemployed in North America.
