The first one was DOA but Amazon was outstanding with a no-quibble replacement. The confidence that inspired made me get a Prime membership. The second box works but the connector feels flimsy and you have to be very careful when switching drives. It will work with 2.5" drives but they seems lost and flop about inside. In my opinion this Fantec box is best suited for installing a 3.5" drive once and never switching. If you want to use one box and switch several drives in and out I would look elsewhere for a more robust solution.

Ich habe Bewertungen gelesen, dass Einbaumaße nicht passen. Konnte ich nicht feststellen. Mechanisch alles OK und Übertragungswerte bei Copy auch. Bin sehr zufrieden!

Ne ho presi due, dentro ci ho messo due seagate exos x18 ST18000NM000J da 18TB a scopo di backup. Con la USB3 copia i file molto velocemente, a circa 300MB/s. Unica pecca i cavi corti, sia alimentazione che USB3, si sono sprecati... Per il resto tutto ok. AGGIORNAMENTO Dopo neanche 10 ore di utilizzo l'alimentatore cinese di uno dei due è letteralmente esploso, il box esterno funziona ancora e l'hard disk dentro anche, ma è esploso proprio mentre stava copiando dei file, e questa cosa mi da molto fastidio, è inaccettabile che vendano roba con alimentatori cinesi che esplodono. Ora scrivo una mail direttamente a FANTEC. AGGIORNAMENTO 2 Contattata FANTEC, mi hanno mandato un'unità nuova senza neanche volere indietro quella difettosa. Supporto mica male, rimetto le stelle, ma devono seriamente rivedere la qualità dei power supply cinesi che mettono in bundle.

Very easy to attached the HDD and plug'n play in the computers to make it work: I have a switch to share it with three different computers, and no issue at all when doing so. Really happy with it. Materials are ok for the price: it is not a "safety box" but it delivers what's needed on a normal office / home environment.

per quanto riguardo il funzionamento non ci sono problemi dopo parecchio utilizzo. Una pecca è il led di funzionamento posto sulla parte posteriore.

Insgesamt ist das ein schönes USB-Gehäuse, es hat aber ein paar Nachteile. Die Hauptkritik: - die USB-C-Buchse sitzt zu tief und nicht genau genug auf die Blende ausgerichtet, sodass Stecker nur so gerade eben tief genug eingesteckt werden können und sehr leicht herausrutschen. ansonsten: - Das Teil läuft unter Linux problemlos. TRIM-Support gibt es aber nur mit manueller Konfiguration, vermutlich wei der Chipsatz nicht gut genug unterstützt wird, obwohl VID und GID schon seit Jahren verwendet werden. - wenn man ein Laufwerk einbaut, muss man sehr vorsichtig sein, weil der innere Schlitten sehr filigran ist. bei anderen Gehäusen sind die Schlitten deutlich stabiler. Sobald es verschraubt ist, ist das aber kein Problem. - ein Stützsteg für 2,5"-Laufwerke wäre eine feine Sache Würde ich mir derzeit noch eine Gehäuse kaufen, würde ich nach Möglichkeit eins mit USB-B-Buchse suchen. Die sind einfach stabiler und rutschen garantiert nicht raus. Unter Linux Mint haben die hier getesteten Laufwerke die volle Geschwindigkeit, als wären sie direkt an einem SATA-Port am Mainboard angeschlossen. Die SSD kam auf 480 MB/s.
